I am also planning to go backpacking in SE Asia and my list of countries is really similar to yours! When I researched, it seemed pretty easy to do a bus to cross Vietnam-Laos border! And that’s a thing I am planning to do

yes, definitely! unsure if I have time for the Cambodian islands, for example, so would love to go back for those
Do you bring your laptop to book all your travel and accommodations throughout your trip?
I only bring my laptop on my trips as I work remotely. if I was solely travelling, my phone would be enough to book travel and accommodation!
