Don't give a damn if they modernized or became more pop or whatever the hell you want to call it. Theory (of a Deadman) will always be unique. I've never heard music like theirs, whether its their first stuff or this. Their music is still great imo.

I'm sorry to see all the shitty comments about them not sounding "rock" to you guys. You need to remember that they are not just some rock band or punk band. They are artists. They make art. And art comes in many different genres. I think it's pure talent that they can make all kinds of music the way they do without every song sounding the same like alot of "bands" we all know and love.

Maggie Rezac first time I heard this last night they reminded me of someone. Not until you said Nickelback did I remember. The remind me of Nickelback. At least this song does. It's okay, can't say it sucked. Just not for me. I did listen to another of there songs. Definitely felt better about that song.
Thing is though this isn't my kind of music. Their old stuff was. It's like someone going from classical paintings to modern art, I prefer classical paintings, modern art isn't my thing.

Dave Dicks I’m not gonna say it’s there best work in my opinion. However, based on mood I would say it’s one of the top ones.
Their best album by far is the one before this, Savages their third album I believe, so many great songs on it.

Just got divorced 4 days ago to my ex who has borderline personality disorder. This song is literally SPOT ON!!! The lyrics are to a tee of what it feels like with the emotions one goes through when being with someone with this type of disorder. 3 1/2 yrs we were married and thankfully I'm done. While I wouldn't change it because we have two little boys together and they're my life, I'm thankful she did so much bad shit (especially with how she ended things) that I finally woke up and never want anything to do with her again! I'm looking forward to her not being my problem anymore. Her new fiance can have her and deal with her. Haha! Adios Senorita! After 18 months of you dragging our divorce out, I can finally say, "I'm FREE AT LAST!!"
You got 2 kids together? 'A thing you'll never say is that your free at last'. Spent 18 years with someone with personality disorder. The kids will always be their "in" whenever they want to play with their old toy for awhile. Good luck though. I honestly mean it. 🤘

Theory has definitely come a long way. They're kinda like Linkin Park, or Gorillaz, not really limited to one genre. I don't think some of you understand how music works. An artist shouldn't be limited to one genre if they choose not to be. This song is great, honestly. If they can be respectable people and create great music, then by all means, keep doing it. If you're not gonna create good music, either really practice and listen to community feedback, or go back to your roots and do what got you famous. I personally think that this is good, although I'm somewhat new to Theory.

You gotta understand that they are keeping up with the times. Imagine if they kept the same music genre for the past years... you would be complaining that "it all sounds the same" but instead your complaining that "they are changing" it's a lose-lose battle. If your taken out of your comfort zone for the reasoning of change it's like "omg, that sucks now and its not what im used to" it would be the same either way. There is no pleasing today's audience, everyone has a developed ADD because things move so quick and change like the seasons. Just listen to it and enjoy it, if you don't like it why even take the time to leave a comment? If you look through the times and change of music, the ones who seem to last are the ones that don't keep the same tune and/or the same generic sound. You may not like so there for go listen to something else. I guarantee that all of the artist you like and listen to today will die out, change their sound or completely change their genre of music. It's life and their isn't a damn you can do about it. Best practice would be to expand your box a little bit and get out of that little comfort zone of yours and embrace change.
