- Today we test out the latest from Adam's Polishes, their Graphene Ceramic Spray Coating against their incumbent Adam's Ceramic Spray Coating. In this head to head battle we're going to test ease of application, gloss, slickness, visual appeal and durability. Is graphene just a gimmick or is it the real deal? We started the video by testing out ease of application. Both the Adam's Graphene Ceramic Spray Coating and original Ceramic Spray Coating performed very well in this area. They were as simple as spray coating can get. As with all ceramic coatings a full polish is required for optimal performance. I performed a 3-step cut and polish with heavy correcting compound, compound, and finishing polish.
Following the application we tested the gloss rating of both coatings. The graphene coating did very well. It was the glossiest product I've ever tested at 93.7 GU! The regular coating was the second glossiest at 92.4 GU, really amazing results.
This definitely affected the visual appeal of both products. When comparing the two sides against the control surfaces it was really clear how much the coatings were improving the look of the test hood. The paint looked deeper and glossier. While these coatings aren't as deep as some of the traditional waxes, either one will make you very happy with your finial results.
The Graphene Ceramic Spray Coating from Adam's performed well in my slickness test. It wasn't as slick as some of the slickest products such as the Woolfgang Deep Gloss, but it was solid. The regular Adam's Ceramic Spray Coating was not quite as slick, it was a bit more grabby, but still acceptable.
When it came to durability testing both products were amazing. The original Ceramic Spray Coating came in with 70 washes, matching Soft99 Fusso Coat, our previous record holder. The Graphene formula crushed that with 113 washes! It was absolutely incredible to see how well it held on.

@@warrenmullett Most important aspect people forget about when buying a house is recognizing you are also buying the neighbour's. If you see them outside it's always best to go make friends with them as they can directly impact your quality of living. It's like the same with cops, majority of people find it hard to be an ass to people who treat them superior. Never got a ticket in my life, knock on wood.

I do see that you mentioned Adam's Advanced Graphene Ceramic Spray Coating is on your "to do" list but I'd love to throw out two other suggestions to consider as well, GYEON Quartz Q² Can Coat Evo, and Phoenix E.O.D. Titan SiO2 Hybrid Detailer. I've been putting a ton of research into coating and you covered almost all the ones I've been eyeing save the aforementioned 3 options above. I know the time and effort it takes to do each of these tests is insane, so, of course, I don't expect anything. Just providing some ideas since I love your more scientific method to rating all these coatings. It's super entertaining and a lot more objective than pretty much anything on the entire internet. Very impressive, man. Keep it up!

Appreciate the subscription and views! I reset the panel by either 70% isopropyl alcohol baths and/or machine polishing. I check that it is back to 90GU when Im done.

Honestly, i like the way you tested this in comparison to how others do it with iron removers and chemicals. This is way more realistic of a test than those.

Thanks Rod, I like this approach too, it's basically abrasion testing which is I think more real world than spraying on harsh chemicals which aren't normally used to wash cars.
@@DmitrysGarage Totally agree, I don't really understand how spraying engine degreaser all over your car then using a mitt to rub it into the paint, how that is supposed to be a realistic use case. You're providing much more valuable real world information - great job.

I would have never thought turtle wax is killing it the way they are and such a great value proposition. A week ago I would have purchased F11 top coat! Haha I feel like the Adams graphene spray and TW ICE and Hybrid solutions are the best value for performance out currently. I’m going to perform my first clay, compound, polish, coat, and sealant as soon as possible!

Great video, definitely suscribing. I used the Adams Ceramic Spay this summer on my Camaro. I was very happy with the shine & sickness. I was out and got caught in the rain car was dirty as hell, rain spots, hood looked like I went through a mud pupple. Washed it the next day and just amazed how easy it was to wash it. Can't wait to try the new one! I really appreciate you not talking about the price. I'm so tired of people complaining how much Adam's products are. I think they are well worth the money.

Awesome video. The torture tests were insane lol! I'm not going to lie, the gas mask caught me of guard. But I do agree with your logic for using it. The truth is we shouldn't really be inhaling any sort of detailing chemicals. And like you said in other comments, we just don't know what they can do to us long term.

The past 2 years iv been getting deep in to detailing..this i can say is the easiest channel to watch by far!!! I would love to see a video on why people hate chemical guys..up till about 3 days ago i never realized how much they were hated.

I have not used a ton of Chemical Guys stuff, but like any big company (Adam’s, Griots, Turtle, etc..) they’re going to get slammed on less than stellar products as they try to hit every vertical vs boutique brands that focus on a small range of products. Also the highly advertised big detailing companies tend to be marketing first companies and dont always make all their own stuff.

just discovered your channel .. great presentaion and hard work! .. I saw a video on another brand of Graphene sealant and in the video it mentioned once the bottled is opened it must be used within 30 days. Do either of of Adams's Ceramic Spray or Graphene Sealant have a similar guideline ?
I did not see that guideline on Adams. I will have to see. Only issue I could think of is if the solvent evaporates. Ill double check the bottle when I have a chance. Thanks for watching!
