I made a DIY door lock using scrap material, a servo motor, and an Arduino. This smart lock can be controlled with Google Assistant, providing a secure and efficient way to protect your home. Follow along as I show you the step-by-step process of building this robust and innovative door lock system.
Later after the video I have added a physical button to control the lock and some status LEDs for wifi. More importantly I have added a way to manually unlock in case something goes wrong. Simply a small string is attached to a small drum which can be turned by a key from the other side of the door.
