    Lyrics:
    Saint Anger 'round my neck
    Saint Anger 'round my neck
    He never gets respect
    Saint Anger 'round my neck
(You flush it out, you flush it out) Saint Anger 'round my neck
(You flush it out, you flush it out) He never gets respect
(You flush it out, you flush it out) Saint Anger 'round my neck
(You flush it out, you flush it out) He never gets respect
Fuck it all and no regrets, I hit the lights on these dark sets
I need a voice to let myself, to let myself go free
Fuck it all and fucking no regrets, I hit the lights on these dark sets
Medallion noose, I hang myself, Saint Anger 'round my neck
I feel my world shake like an earthquake
Hard to see clear, is it me, is it fear?
I'm madly in anger with you
I'm madly in anger with you
    Saint Anger 'round my neck
    Saint Anger 'round my neck
    He never gets respect
    Saint Anger 'round my neck
(You flush it out, you flush it out) Saint Anger 'round my neck
(You flush it out, you flush it out) He never gets respect
(You flush it out, you flush it out) Saint Anger 'round my neck
(You flush it out, you flush it out) He never gets respect

I need a voice to let myself, to let myself go free
Fuck it all and fucking no regrets, I hit the lights on these dark sets
Medallion noose, I hang myself, Saint Anger 'round my neck
I feel my world shake like an earthquake
Hard to see clear, is it me, is it fear?
I'm madly in anger with you
I'm madly in anger with you
I'm madly in anger with you
I'm madly in anger with you
And I want my anger to be healthy
And I want my anger just for me
And I need my anger not to control
And I want my anger to be me
And I need to set my anger free
And I need to set my anger free
    Set it free!
Fuck it all and no regrets, I hit the lights on these dark sets

@ridian what exactly is bad about this song? I have genuinely no idea what people are talking about in the negative comments. This song is nowhere as good as master of puppets or the unforgiven 1&2, but it’s still great?

The music on this album represents all raw feeling and emotions. Lots of people don't simply understand what what this album brings to the surface. I'm not talking about the taste. They have a long and varied career. Imo the period between 1991 and 2003 --Black Album, Load/Reload, S&M, and St. Anger was their creative zenith. So much variety yet soul and innovation behind everything they do. Still the case with the more recent albums, but they've since fallen into a bit of a familiar rhythm.

Came out very fuzzy, but I remember this video and tripped out how it was filmed in SQ and the stories within the video. Ended up doing close to 18 years and have been out five years now. Watching this video clearly now on CZcams as a free man, at almost 41 years age, it hits different. Feel the pain of every story within the video. St.Anger is amazing when you listen to it when you're angry. And the Metallica boys did an awesome job imo. I don't know how to explain it, but the snare gives it an even more pissed off sound.

I agree, i wouldn't usually go for such a heavy snare sound but it's absolutely spot on for this particular effort. Just fits the tone of the song so well.

@@ronanv1 why tho? I know it actually throws off some people but for me high tuned snares in metal sound fucking brutal

The snare sound is much longer and “shinier” or tinner/more sheet metal which is fighting with low heavy riff yet harmonizing with its brutality. I personally would like it just 10% less trashy but its still mastermind act
