Maharishi Mahesh Yogi ji talks about taking inspiration from His Gurudev

Maharishi Mahesh Yogi ji describes His experience in the presence of His Gurudev, Swami Brahmanand Saraswati Maharaj, Shankaracharya of Jyotirmath, that it was impossible to be at any intellectual level, or think about Gurudev, one could only bask in his divine presence. Maharishi also compared the experience to iron fillings getting attracted to the magnet automatically. Maharishi further attributes everything to Gurudev's presence, and says, that the inspiration to bring out the inner silence in day to day life in the form of Science of Being and Art of Living and the Science of Creative Intelligence was due to this innocent participation in his Master's life.

I never thought much of Guru Dev. I thought his personality was uninspiring, while he looked unhealthy and malnourished, at least later in his life. His talks were ordinary and mundane Hinduism. I could not see anything in him that Maharishi did. I thought that Maharishi Mahesh Yogi was much greater and far more original in his thought.
