I’ve never given up on full eyeshadow looks. Eyeshadow is my favorite part of makeup. The clean look is nice, but I fully prefer the glitz of full eyeshadow looks. I’d be happy to see more people posting the 2016 looks, because I found it to be more fun in makeup videos. I feel like tiktok has created this awful cloned culture and I am sooo sick of it. I miss people being creative and really using it as an art form.
Same here. I always do full eyeshadow daily. Some days it’s muted but what’s the point of buying beautiful palettes with amazing color stories if you’re not going to use it. Shadow palettes are not cheap now a days, so I’m going to utilize what I paid for. ❤
I think 2016 makeup is beautiful and people who do it are incredibly talented, but I don't like doing it myself. I think more gentle "clean" makeup matches my features better. I'm glad the makeup styles are broadening so we all don't have to do the same thing and just pick what suits us best
Every person has their own style. Do what you like. Some days more natural and other days I like full glam and some days nothing (depends on how I feel and let my face take a rest.)
I will always be an eyeshadow girlie. I’m not into contour and heavy powders or concealers like the 2016 look, but I’ll never give up eyeshadow. I hope lip glosses and oils stick around for a while because where I live my lips can’t handle matte lipsticks in the winter!

My Mom always would say Hannah put on a little lipstick 💄❤. I never would I have to let you know I'm now addicted 😂😅 🤪 in a good way to lipstick and honestly have way to many. I love eyeshadow for occasions and days when I have time, most days I'm like a medium coverage basic-AF girl, I never got the FULL coverage looks in 2016, the super-dry baking and the Sharpie brows were questionable 😂

I just said to myself last night that I am walking my behind back into MAC and picking up a bottle of studio fix fluid. Why? Because it looks incredible and lasts. I have never had prettier makeup than I did in the 2016 era. I’ve been spending so much time and money trying to get these “clean girl” products to work and the bottom line is: they just don’t last all day, and they don’t look as polished. IMO. I baked for the first time in years last night and it was the happiest I’ve been with my makeup in forever. Like, why did I try to fix what wasn’t broken? Trends come and go but I truly think this one isn’t going to last much longer because it’s simply not as good.
I still love big bold eyeshadow looks. Even on the daily for my office job, I will take the time to do a colorful smoky eye with winged liner 😂 some things just don't die. And my will to be creative with eyeshadow is one of them!

I think everyone has an individual journey with their make up and preferences. I don't like people feeling social pressure to wear less or more, regardless of what the trend is. Some people never stopped wearing a full beat, some people have always worn bb creams, be yourself 👸🏽

Now, with all the knowledge I’ve collected, I do friends makeup for special life events - and free bc they are my friends but also bc I’ve collected a massive amount of makeup thru watching CZcams and wanting to know what will make me look my absolute best for special occasions….. which now typing this out 🤔🤔 doesn’t seem like “pro” lol 🤷🏻♀️ I enjoy making my friends feel beautiful. Lol I spent years trying to cover up my freckles and now I'm fine with them (that comes with age) but I had no idea they even had freckle pens. As for the full eyeshadow looks I think people should do whatever makes them happy. As I'm getting older I struggle personally with figuring out what changes to make to my own style and wanting a more clean look.

I think people stopped wearing full make in late 2020. We liked keeping it simple and wearable. Skin became more important not what we put on it. Now we are getting bored being plain. We want a little pop of color/sparkle.
I have never been a full glam person -- I just don't think I have the overall vibe to pull it off. I also like to look nice and put together but don't have the patience to spend more than 5-10 min to do it, so I'm glad the more natural look came back the last few years. That being said, I can appreciate the full glam on other people, though. And I think people should do what ever makes them feel beautiful or like they're expressing themselves.
I don't know anything about makeup trends but I think it would make sense that full glam makeup would be trending. Everyone is embracing going out more this year and we're heading into the holiday season!

Personally I am here for it… except the eyebrows and crazy cat eyes 😂 as an acne prone gal doing no makeup makeup has just never worked well for me so I’m jazzed for the more makeup vibes!
As far as things go on me, I NEED full coverage as a base & am willing 2 go more bold on the cheeks & lips, but there's only certain shadows that work on me. Neutrals seem best on me, but I DO enjoy cool toned colors like purples. I'm NOT a fan of orange or red tones on my eyes; I think that's mostly because I don't know the trick of sheering them out properly so I can get the effect I want.
i feel like we're just back at that point where "natural" clean girl makeup is boring and people wanna get more creative with makeup. im excited! i was never a big fan of heavy base makeup, but i loooove having fun with eyeshadow
Honestly, I love Color in the Fall in my eyes. I tend to really love Warm Oranges/ Rust colors, Greens, and Berry Wine colors, and sometimes deep lips but mostly I keep it nude and easy. But daily, I love just wearable browns that are fresh-looking. Being a person of color, I think browns and warm golds on my eyes look nice. And I get So ...many compliments when I do that. I'm not sure what 2016 makeup looked like, I was just doing my own thing. But most of that time, I was in and out of the hospital. But most of all, I don't mind deeper colors in the fall and matte lips. I usually have a matte eye and lips combo! My complexion is usually clean skincare makeup if that makes sense. Something that enhances my skincare, like JOah Beauty or just skin Tints in general.! I have fun with my makeup. I don't think you have to be restricted with it, just do what makes you feel like you. Feel good!! Don't worry about what people think. Usually, you might be getting someone out of their comfort zone without ever knowing!! LOve you Allie!! You're the Best!! 😊❤❤❤❤❤
I don’t see full glam making a come back, except maybe onCZcams and tic toc. I spent 5 weeks in Europe and Mediterranean and I noticed how little makeup everyone wore.
You always look gorgeous. I do have to ask though, why on earth you would want freckles? LOL. I have them and hate them. I guess that is the way that goes. I think people should wear what they want regardless of trends. If you want colorful eye makeup then go for it. It is out there to buy. I just think you need to be pretty talented to pull that off. YAAAS BABY BRING BACK THE 2016 MAKEUP!!!!!! I mean I can definitely do without the 5 pumps of foundation and giant triangles of concealer under the eyes. Oh and let's not forget about using an entire container of loose powder in a month because that's just how much powder we were using!😂
I love this kind of makeup that you just did. I like it natural. If it was for me, I would have just added a natural barely there eyeshadow on my crease, but the rest is exactly what I would have done. I don’t like the full glam, I feel claustrophobic in too much makeup. The only colorful palette which is tempting me right now is the Guerlain one, a limited edition for the holidays, which is champagne, purple, a real green and yellow (!) I will probably won’t buy it because it is too expensive for something that I will probably wear once or twice. I usually don’t like colorful eyeshadows, and blue is horrible on my lids. It is nicer on you because you have very light eyes.

If I was in my 30’s I’d be all over the trend to go back to 2016. However, being in my 60’s, it really looks strange. I like makeup and do incorporate some trends but subtle is the order!! Once you get older less is more. I love a bright lip though, nudes make me look dead. That is my vibe. 🤗

That being said, I can appreciate the full glam on other people, though. And I think people should do what ever makes them feel beautiful or like they're expressing themselves.
Any trend is fine with me, as long as the 1980's one stripe blush application never returns!
I don't know anything about makeup trends but I think it would make sense that full glam makeup would be trending. Everyone is embracing going out more this year and we're heading into the holiday season!

I love eyeshadow eyeliner the full 9yards. But I do have trouble finding my crease. I try to put my eyeshadow on like you but it doesn't work out.
Personally I am here for it… except the eyebrows and crazy cat eyes 😂 as an acne prone gal doing no makeup makeup has just never worked well for me so I’m jazzed for the more makeup vibes!
As far as things go on me, I NEED full coverage as a base & am willing 2 go more bold on the cheeks & lips, but there's only certain shadows that work on me. Neutrals seem best on me, but I DO enjoy cool toned colors like purples. I'm NOT a fan of orange or red tones on my eyes; I think that's mostly because I don't know the trick of sheering them out properly so I can get the effect I want.
i feel like we're just back at that point where "natural" clean girl makeup is boring and people wanna get more creative with makeup. im excited! i was never a big fan of heavy base makeup, but i loooove having fun with eyeshadow

Honestly, I love Color in the Fall in my eyes. I tend to really love Warm Oranges/ Rust colors, Greens, and Berry Wine colors, and sometimes deep lips
but mostly I keep it nude and easy. But daily, I love just wearable browns that are fresh-looking. Being a person of color, I think browns and warm
golds on my eyes look nice. And I get So ...many compliments when I do that. I'm not sure what 2016 makeup looked like, I was just doing my own thing.
But most of that time, I was in and out of the hospital. But most of all, I don't mind deeper colors in the fall and matte lips. I usually have a matte eye and lips combo!
My complexion is usually clean skincare makeup if that makes sense. Something that enhances my skincare, like JOah Beauty or just skin Tints in general.!
I have fun with my makeup. I don't think you have to be restricted with it, just do what makes you feel like you. Feel good!! Don't worry about what people think.
Usually, you might be getting someone out of their comfort zone without ever knowing!!

I don’t see full glam making a come back, except maybe onCZcams and tic toc. I spent 5 weeks in Europe and Mediterranean and I noticed how little makeup everyone wore.
I keep hearing everyone reference "2016 makeup" and I must have missed that entire year because nothing stands out to me from that time 🤣🤣🤣

You always look gorgeous. I do have to ask though, why on earth you would want freckles? LOL. I have them and hate them. I guess that is the way that goes. I think people should wear what they want regardless of trends. If you want colorful eye makeup then go for it. It is out there to buy. I just think you need to be pretty talented to pull that off. Love when you cover new products.
YAAAS BABY BRING BACK THE 2016 MAKEUP!!!!!! I mean I can definitely do without the 5 pumps of foundation and giant triangles of concealer under the eyes. Oh and let's not forget about using an entire container of loose powder in a month because that's just how much powder we were using!😂
I love this kind of makeup that you just did. I like it natural. If it was for me, I would have just added a natural barely there eyeshadow on my crease, but the rest is exactly what I would have done.
I don’t like the full glam, I feel claustrophobic in too much makeup. The only colorful palette which is tempting me right now is the Guerlain one, a limited edition for the holidays, which is champagne, purple, a real green and yellow (!) I will probably won’t buy it because it is too expensive for something that I will probably wear once or twice. I usually don’t like colorful eyeshadows, and blue is horrible on my lids. It is nicer on you because you have very light eyes.

If I was in my 30’s I’d be all over the trend to go back to 2016. However, being in my 60’s, it really looks strange. I like makeup and do incorporate some trends but subtle is the order!! Once you get older less is more. I love a bright lip though, nudes make me look dead. That is my vibe. 🤗
As someone who has freckles, a lot of them, especially in the summer when they get super dark, I don’t understand why people add freckles because I have always hated mine 🤣 anything that draws attention to people as unique or cute (like my dimples) makes me super self conscious. so because people have always commented on my freckles, I try to hide them 🤣
