    The more I learn about cricket the more I grow to appreciate Martin Crowe. The man was not only a class player for NZ through the years, but he also was a visionary. Creating a t20 like format before it was even thought of and being one of the main spearheads of the WTC.

      I was there for the match, such a disappointment, Sunil Joshi who was over 40 at that point, walked into bat at no 9. We had Wasim jaffar, kallis, chanderpal, dravid at the top. These are who you want on a 5th day of a test match to draw the test

    I have spoken to lalit modi for more than an hour over the phone during covid, we discussed everything related to covid, politics and even rahul gandhi, pm modi, now he was my client yet he was simply awesome with no arrogance and treated me as an equal, what a guy❤❤❤

  • @LiveAndLetLiv

    Shane was insane and he got a free hand to show off his craziness. That team would have costed 1/5th when compared to other teams and they won the title. His freakiest nature and gut feel is the primary reason for the success,.
    We would have watched mouth watering contest if warne and MSD played agaist each other more, because of their strategies. Warne would have played with impact sub rule to the fullest by this time. If he was playing.

    Chennai super stars won 2 titles, Chennai Super Kings derived from that name. Pink was the jersey color. They played against foreign franchise, simillar to champions league.
    Rayudu the most affected player because of icl, he couldnt represent India for a brief period where his contemporaries (with less talent) started playing with India jersy.

    The BCCI focuses mainly on the IPL, seen in the fully packed stadiums during IPL matches compared to the World Cup tournaments. Even in neutral World Cup matches in cities like Chennai or Bangalore, fans chant local team names like 'CSK' in Chennai..'RCB' in Bangalore. It would be strange if fans at the Sydney Showgrounds cheered for Sydney Thunder during a match between New Zealand and Afghanistan. This shows the IPL's increasing popularity over international cricket in India. There's a worry that in the future, other T20 leagues will become feeder leagues for the IPL, possibly extending its season from October to May since cricket is played year-round in India. Hopefully, international cricket won't face this, but only time will tell what happens in 30-40 years...

    • @Israel_wale_chacha

      @sameerthekingcobra Před 2 měsíci +4

      Aren't Bangalore and Chennai part of India? Are they located on Mars? Secondly, BCCI doesn't run IPL directly, its just a governing body. Get your facts right

    • @Badabung-vu9wr
      @Badabung-vu9wr Před 2 měsíci +1

      @@Israel_wale_chacha The difference between the football leagues and cricket leagues is well, first of all, they are much more professional. We still have a long way to go. Besides that, tho football is now run around a franchise model, the ultimate spot goes to the FIFA World Cup. The craze and madness surrounded around franchise leagues is sort of channeled into the World Cup every four years. That seems to be missing in cricket. In fact, it seems we are going the other way where the international are having their life sucked out of them, given the fact we are now seeing early signs of the demise of ODIs.
      Another simple fact that explains this is that the next FIFA World Cup will feature 48 teams - a whopping 16 more whereas, cricket seems to be going backward as this ODI world cup featured 10 teams - 6 less than what they did in 2008. These are just worrying signs.

      Impressed by the growing popularity of T10 leagues which finishes off in under 2 hours, BCCI is already planning to introduce another IPL based on the T10 format during the September-november season.
      They want to fill the void of champions league (which gave them a mini IPL every year) and make the IPL a brand which BCCI can milk twice in a year.
