  • Improve your Brazilian Zouk by following-along with me in my solo training!
In this video I explain in detail, the 4 different footworks that can be led in Chicote
I explain in detail the Footwork, then the body movement and then put them together, before practicing with music.
Remember, that often these footworks will be combined. And it's super common to have a chicote just on one side forming an beautiful entry to another move. Watch any demo of the professionals and you will see this all the time!

Thank you ! I have a hard time following because we are facing each other. We would need to be facing the same direction to be able to follow... :)

Thank you Jane! I really appreciate your videos. Living in Byron where there are so few great leaders (only really our beloved teacher Joe Jurd, but there is only one of him, not enough to go around haha), solo practice is a necessity! :)

Thanks yes I'm watching you daily, in fact hourly!! About to right now, its a tricky move to get right, am doing the lateral one in my phrase. My necks getting lots of after stretching, usually an indication I need to align my posture during. I shall continue, nearly there and if I remember I'll post a link to the finished vid, thanks!

@@ajscelestemusic8364 Yes stretching is good - before and after. I do neck strengthening exercises (see my conditioning workout playlist) which has made a massive difference as I used to get a lot of neck pain due to poor posture. Can't wait to see the video! Good luck xx
