Paul Winchell is an interesting vocal choice for the king.

Brant Parker worked alongside Johnny Hart of B.C. fame. They only ever did one B.C. animated film, a Christmas Special, I'm Happy to see Wizard of Id had one too
This was originally produced for Chuck Jones' 1971-'72 Saturday morning ABC series, "CURIOSITY SHOP". It was a "one-shot", and no further cartoons in this proposed series were produced.
Interesting. The only Curiosity Shop film I'd seen before was nearly 25 years ago when I bought a 16mm print of "Toolbox Ballet" made by the Puppetoon master George Pal.
So that's where the Finks MC got their jester pic from, makes sense now, and for those what i'm talking about - i'm referring the notorious motorcycle club in Australia and New Zealand.
I'm a huge fan of the strip, and I never knew this existed. A pity it never went further, as I think it would have been a great series. The animation is definitely a cut above the usual TV stuff of the era, more fluid and better lip-sync. Characters look on model as well. Better than the Jim Henson pilot in my humble opinion. Thanks for posting.

If that were the case than wizards would avoid taverns at all costs and adventurers would get quests from somewhere else. But you bring up an interesting idea. I hadn't considered inebriation.
