    Thanks for the video I figure the pump was where and operated where it was. I work on American vehicles. But for the power steering pump pulley his it with a rubber mallet at the very least. If you don’t have one use a rag as a dampener

    W silnikach n42/45/46 nie trzeba demontować pompy wspomagania aby wymienić pompę wody. Wystarczy zdjąć pasek odkręcić koło pasowe pompy i po opróżnieniu układu chłodzenia odkręcić dwie śruby łączące pompy razem. Króciec który wchodzi w blok jest na wcisk jak widać na filmie więc zbędna praca z układem wspomagania. Da się to zrobić także w drugą stronę bez demontażu całego zespołu pompy wody zmienić samą pompę wspomagania bez opróżniania układu chłodzenia. Dwa lewarki i trochę sprytu. Nic więcej.

    • @gorillaprojectcar
      @gorillaprojectcar  Před 2 lety

      Hmm… 🤔 w sumie ma to sens przy pompie wody, faktycznie jak się zastanowić to powinno to być możliwe. Będę mieć dostęp do następnego n42 to sprawdzę czy dałbym radę to zrobić. Nie wiem jak ciężko byłoby odkręcić pompę wody od wspomagania.
      Co do zdejmowania pompy wspomagania bez pompy wody to na czym trzymałaby się pompa wody jeśli odkręcamy wspomaganie na którym się normalnie trzyma?

    • @andrzejrutkowski8699
      @andrzejrutkowski8699 Před 2 lety +1

      @@gorillaprojectcar bez problemu pompę wody utrzyma króciec łączący blok silnika z pompą chyba że doszło tam już do wycieku i zachodzi podejrzenie że oringi są już do wymiany. Kilka dni temu zmieniałem pompę wspomagania w e87n45b16a właśnie bez demontażu pompy wody.
      Byłoby szybciej gdyby pompa wspomagania była z e46 n46 one z reguły mają wycięcia w kole pasowym na dojście do śrub mocujących pompę ale niestety nie wszystkie modele to posiadają.

    I'm having a leak , a mixture coolant and steering oil as well, looks it comes from this duo water pump and steering oil pump; do you reckon it is better to change both pump or only the seals? No other problems seen - like heating, high temperature, uneven steering work. I've got only 100 000km done but the car has 22 years. Thanks

    • @gorillaprojectcar
      @gorillaprojectcar  Před 7 měsíci +1

      It always depends on the budget. If you have money to replace them both and it won’t bother you then do it and you’ll feel safer. If not then I’d recommend to wash them, find the leak and replace what needs to be replaced. Probably a seal in water pump part and perhaps a hose in power steering pump. Cheers 👋

    Hi mate! Thanks for the video… the car was overheating so i wanted to change the water pump.. what i saw is that water pump is fine but the power steering pump seems to be damaged. If you spin the metall thing that connects to water pump then the pully wont move. So what you think?

      If the pulley is not spinning the shaft your water pump won’t move. So my advice would be to get another power steering pump. I disassembled one and putting it back together was the biggest challenge I had so new one or good used one is safer option.

    Mówiąc prościej, odkręcam korek od zbiorniczka, odkrecam lekko te dwie nakretki na przewodach gumowych i robie procedury tak jak mówiłeś na filmie. Czy jednak muszę zdjąć też pompę całą i jest to wymagane?

      Put coolant in the car.
      Have extra coolant near.
      Start the car when it’s cold full heating on.
      Unscrew both bleeding screws.
      Start adding coolant until it starts leaking from the bleeding screw.
      Add a bit more coolant to make sure that it’s consistent flow from the bleeder.
      Screw in the bleeding valve.
      Now you should see that the higher valve is leaking coolant.
      Again if not consistent add more coolant and screw it in.
      Hope it helps. If you will still have issues you can try having someone rev the engine a bit because sometimes there is an air pocket in the system.
      You can also try to raise the front of the car a bit to ensure that the higher bleeding valve is the highest point of cooling system.
