- It has been years and the game is STILL lost playable media. I loathe live-service rhythm games. No don't mind me playing Project Sekai... EDIT: I have stopped playing Project Sekai due to lack of interest.
I want the impossible mode, right now. This is pretty cool, a speedup version of the regular game.

After reading the comments, watching this a few times, finding a video of the 3DS version ('cause I lost my copy to reference it myself ;_;), and air-drumming to see if I can catch the rhythm myself, I think I've figured out what's so different about this. In the 3DS version, Alfred has two timings to his double-strikes, and he has a different audio and visual cue for each. Here, he has *four* timings, and they all use the same visual and audio cue, save for the last one which is visually different (if anything, that'd only throw you off more). There's no way to distinguish when he's going to release the attack by listening or by looking, so on your first play-through, you're screwed until you can anticipate it or get more used to the music.

@@gotgunpowder how did you know how many beats to count before dodging? Because sometimes you dodge on beat 2, sometimes on beat 3, and sometimes till the next downbeat
You either dodge near the end of a measure or with the same timing as the other two. The music and context to each one should help a little bit in determining which one.

What he means is, you're not really told how long the cue is going to be, so anybody going in playing this will probably mess up those parts. The 3DS did a better job at this because the middle part queues were consistent and easy to pick up.

@@xarmelo but there isn't any indication about how long the cues are the song during the short parts and the long parts sound just the same

There's no way to know unless you turn the visual Guide on, or if you played the song before.

What did you use to record these videos? I've been wanting to film all of the minigames in Paris Caper before its closure, but I'm not having much luck with recording software. There's just too much lag, either with the video or the music.
+TwilightWakerofTime I used Reflector but the audio synchronization sort of lags behind when I touch, so that's unfortunate. I wanted to do direct recording but doing it requires some hardware.

I hated this fight so much. The game WANTS you to TILT your 3ds and I never could get it right. Thank god you don't need to get the highest grade in order to pass. (I always tried to get A, but if it was too hard, I would go for C.)
