MUSCOVY DUCK HATCH DAY SPRING 2024

Live footage of two momma Muscovy ducks and their brand-new ducklings! For homeschool purposes (any other mommas doing five in a row and reading make way for ducklings?) or if you just enjoy watching animals do their thing undisturbed, here is about an hour of ducks being ducks!

Few days ago, out walking C&O Canal Trail by Great Falls in MD and saw five yellow goose chicks scrambling under and around their mother. Those goslings were more yellow and bigger than this first yellow Muscovy duckling. I used 10x binoculars to spot them. I thought I saw two more eggs, too, but could not be certain.
Out canoeing several days ago and saw a snapping turtle digging back into the mud above Potomac tidal waterline in Dyke Marsh and I thought it may've been laying eggs.

Do Muscovy ducks breed in May?

I have seen them breeding since early February, and they will keep breeding until deep winter in my (somewhat limited) experience.
