People are talking about Mike being horrible at this game, but he actually seems pretty good. He's just playing the "storm in through the front door and murder everyone in sight" method.
Going for High Chaos is highly viable :D
I understand why you say that, I also do “balls to the wall screw everyone gameplay” when bored, and hate when people assume you’re just bad at the game when playing like that, but his combat just seems undeveloped. He blocks at odd intervals and just seems to mash the attack button when not blocking. I still love him though.
@@ryann1384 yeah, exactly. He also seems to have zero awareness of what's going on generally, ala the grenade halfway through. Love the guy, but it does read a bit like the first time he's ever picked up a controller
Mike stealth = terrible

+Josh Corbett Except Andy didn't even save the Uncle. In the end I favoured Jane as she was being sort of stealthy but also actually doing what she was supposed to. The others seemed pretty clueless tbh.

What made it better was the crunch as he bit into a Pringles chip
He uses a folding sword, like Corvo has.
I love how Jane is trying to be all sneaky while Mike is blinking into people and slicing them to pieces.
Gotta love how Mikes idea of stealth hasn't changed a bit in 7 years. "No one will notice if theres no one left to notice."
You could see Mike considering using the sleep dart on the dog before going "Nah, I'm fully committed to murdering everything."
Mike is not terrible at stealth, he's going for the high chaos achievement.
Besides, he managed to kill a target with a flint-lock pistol from about half a mile away.
Can't believe Andy just straight-up "Firestarter"d that guy! LOL!
Every time OX plays some game wich includes different ways to play it, it ends up Andy being all stealty, Jane is sneaky and Mike is a horrible murderous monster. It comes naturaly, apparently :D
I love how Jane and Andy were sneaking around everything and being so cool and Mike was just like KILL EVERYTHING !!!! This is one of my most favorite lets plays by outsidexbox . Mike had some great lines in this video.

4 years late, but I still have to play this game and this gameplay really makes me want to right now. It is SO awesome how different it can be played.
Did they forget to tell Mike this was a stealth game?
+Ryder Sierra The game also outright tells you that one option is to obliterate everything in your path, in those words, and gives you an ability to facilitate that approach :P

Love this game and got the low chaos ending but cant bring myself to replay it because of the damage seen in the High Chaos. Thanks for the warning Mike

You know, I always tell myself I'm crap at stealth, but comparing my gameplay of this level to oxbox's gameplay, I seem to be more on Andy level stealth

11 years and this is still one of the greatest games of all time, it's story, lore, characters, gameplay, world, music, design, everything!!!
When Mike starts his playthrough with "right", you know shit is about the hit the fan. And, because it's Mike playing, possibly explode.

Mike's murder spree and Andy's ghostlike stealth are fine, but Jane's sheer adorable confusion as she keeps killing people by accident just totally makes this the best LP ever.
A great video and definitely reminds me why I love Oxbox so much. Their Hitman videos especially.

Mike with his unquenchable thirst for Blood and Andy with his flawlessly nonviolent rats.Oh and Jane was uh there too I guess.
Also depending on rats is really bad because not only do guards try to kill any rats that come to close, but lots of assassination targets are very high class so they will do there upmost to keep rats out.
Andy, you should have explored more. To nonlethal Campbell you can him the Heretic's Brand, which you find upstairs in the torture room.
It is fantastic coming into this knowing how each of them plays and seeing how that plays out… as I was typing that Mike blew something up… I am less than 2 minutes in 😂
What a lucky coincidence that you three ended up as a team for this channel. Three different play-styles: Stealthy, Tries-to-be-Stealthy, and Explosive.

my favourite way to get past the first wall of light is by throwing a bottle near the whale oil in the machine and the shooting the tank of oil with a normal crossbow bolt
He really does.
Mike was taking the hard way. While stealth might seem harder, constantly having your health bar depleted will mean that you will either be struggling for health potions on the harder levels,
or you will be spending all of your money on potions. Andy was taking a very expensive route. Using stealth was good but using possesion so much isnt. Unless he buys level two dark vision or is willing to spend loads on mana potions, he will need to change his tactics soon. Jane was taking the best route. By using stealth and non-lethal were possible, she will be able to bypass most battles. By also using blink instead of other powers, she will keep her mana consuption down.

Another thing about killing as much as Mike did: Weepers. Weepers EVERYWHERE.
Funny thing is that Andy is still really good and uses possesion during the lady Boyle mission later in the game.
Mike's way = Best way. Slaying is so much more satisfying than sneaking.

Mike your stealth skills are pretty much the same as mine - sneak, try to strangle, get spotted, KILL EM ALL/or die, proceed to next sneak... :D
I played Dishonored through twice and seeing how many runes/bone charms they missed hurt me. Still loved the video. :D
I just got it 3 days ago and I beat it today. I'm replaying it again so I can get the alternate ending and collect all the runes and bone charms.
+Nick Cabrera there are three endings. don't kill people, kill people and save the little girl (I forgot her name), or kill people and don't save the girl.

57 people killed! i guess i shouldnt be surprised with Mike :p also, that requiescat in pace had me giggling.
My Max is 61- 2, I know I missed a few people as well on my high chaos run. Mine was mostly sniping folks from above, it was a stealth high chaos run so i didn't get in as frequent combat as Mike.

Having repeatedly played this, you could know that there are other ways to take down Cambell as well as rest of the targets. Till now my only lacking achievment is ghost which i only got in 1 mission. I'm curious cause one guide stated there'd be wanted posters without Corvo's face or his mask if you get this in some missions.
I will buy the remastered version just to quench my hype for dishonored 2

Unfortunately, although I was trying to achieve a low Chaos score akin to Jane, my mission results better resembled Mike's. *blushes* Bought this for my trusty old PS3 at the weekend and enjoying it so much that Dishonored 2 and Death Of The Outsider are being purchased next for my PS4

How did I know mike would kill everyone before he started
I don't need no rats! All about blinking around, climbing building and going over everything. I've been wanting to play non lethally, but I keep getting seen and end up killing at least a few people.

If corvo's blink is a "teleport" then shouldn't he be able to blink past the wall of light, I can understand Emily not being able to do it with far reach though. Has anybody tried that?
It's not exactly a teleport. I believe that the skill's description says he "sprints".
the description uses the term "dash" It's very like he turns to energy and shoots to the destination but he is still in the world which is why the walls of light effect him and arc pylons react as you pass as well.
I was just watching Olivia Munn as the new Psylocke and I think Jane would be a better choice. She looks Asian and she has a British accent, just like the real Psylocke! But maybe she'll get fired for saying too many puns.
when i played this i didnt follow the storyline and i may or may not have murdered the entire place and i never stealthed the whole game

This is going to sound really dumb and very irrelevant but why do they still use wheel-lock technology yet they have things like walls of light and mini crossbows which is a technology we could only recently pull off if we wanted to.
Because fantasy technology progression.
Like the panda said, fantasy technology progression, but the pistols are a little more advanced than you might think, they use whale oil (the source of all technological power in this world) rather than gunpowder.
Its a steampunk world also technological progression doesnt realy have a set path the knowledge of how electricity works doesnt nececarely lead to better guns

The issue was range in that case, wasn't close enough.
at about 18:30 mike says something in what sounds like latin (i could be wrong, i do not know latin) and i tried googling a couple of spelling variations of what it sounded like, but i messed it up so badly even google cannot help me. mike, what are you saying? what does it mean?!

I finished the game not lethal
So have I, I've also played Genocide playthroughs where nothing survived and I killed more folks than Mike. When in doubt there is always another way you can play the game.
None of you guys seem to be true stealth assassins. Still fun vid tho xD
