Reposting my comment, because why not.
Holy shit, dude. This is so, so good. So much creative problem solving here. I’ll give my commentary on the key moments.
0:07 This is a level 5 mission and they aren’t gunners, so they’re definitely not dying to that poison. Hmm...
0:58 I can count on one hand the number times I’ve seen someone do that. Really great use of Unity’s more obscure assassination opportunities to avoid the gunner seeing you at the bottom of the window.
2:34 Hate it when this happens, lol
2:41 Lots of quick, precise movements here. I like it a lot.
    5:51 Relatable, lol
6:51 ah, the bomb camera bug. Extremely frustrating, but you made it look like nothing even happened. Way to recover from Unity’s jank.
7:45 Free-aim gunshot from cover into cover assassinate, a fairly underused tech. This is also the beginning of the part where you’re basically out of phantom blades and are essentially forced to use gun. Excellent problem solving regarding this from here to the end of the video.
8:01 Good use of disguise. It’s a skill I don’t often use myself, but this is a situation in which I would highly encourage the use of it.
8:44 Haha, I’m assuming you determined which painting it was in this instance using process of elimination. Having built your route around which painting to end at makes this all the more impressive.
8:56 the poison bomb from earlier finally pays off, as a pistol quickshot now does enough damage to kill a defender. 9 minutes of planning ahead, so good.
One of the most difficult missions to choreograph in the entire game, done like clockwork. I’m extremely impressed. In my time spent experimenting with this mission, I found the guard routes to be far too random for choreography, but maybe that’s not the case. Again, really nicely done. I’m looking forward to seeing what else you make.

    • @SADDE
      @SADDE  Před 3 lety +69

Thanks :P, it was kinda sad how your commentary got lost in the unlisted video
I should repost my reply too
@ 0:58 the ledge just below him is a fully opaque object, even though it doesn't seem like it, so even if it wasn't necessary, I thought I would showcase one of the lesser known takedown positions. The high profile one is even cooler, but sadly that spearman would've heard it.
@ 2:34 that was literally like the second time it happened in all of my 1000 or so (practice + recording) attempts. Goes to show just how unpredictable unity is sometimes.
@ 5:51 some might've restarted there, but I left that be, because most of the time I don't get that far when I record.
@ 6:51 that's actually one of the most consistent things to happen on this level, so I got accustomed to it
@ 8:44 which painting's the right one doesn't really matter as much as you may think, since I go slaughtering everyone and everything either way, lol. Although I gotta say it can be fucky if it's one of the first ones, since @ 5:10, these two guards are out of the escape area (and they only spawn in this mission, so mandatory kills), I actually lost one of my god layouts that way, and got so salty I didn't try this again for a couple of days lol
P.S. I should also add here: I did not build my route according to which painting is the last, that is sheer luck, but it helps with the flow due to the reason stated above
      @ 8:56 I'm glad you noticed :)
As for other projects, I have some dishonored ones planned, but never tested, so I'll have to get to it someday.
I'm really glad you enjoyed the video btw, this means a lot to me

My dude (or lass), you possess a unique, creative skillset and I am more than impressed! Last summer I gave this game another shot after watching a video of like 30 minutes of a guy pretty much begging fans of the older AC games to give this game another try, and reluctant at first, I quickly accepted AC Unity had me hooked and also realised how much I missed the REAL Assassin's Creed games; and *YOU* are doing that part of the AC franchise a huge service - *this* is Assassin's Creed. *This* is the mastery level every AC fan should aspire to achieve. I convinced friends to buy the game and they did. They hated Origins and Odyssey, but fell in love with this one. They were short on Livres and we ran this mission back to back for weeks. I will remember those miserably warm summer nights fondly, enjoying some fine cannabis while trying to figure out how to approach this seemingly impossible mission, together. We've had success but never a run that came close to this type of speed and fluidity, hat's off to you!

There's absolutely nothing wrong with exploring Ancient Egypt and Greece, or early dark ages England and Scandinavia, but the whole RPG Witcher-lite mechanics are such bullshit tbh. The maps are so large and open, so they're clearly able to make 1:1 scale cities too. Imagine a 1:1 scale Jerusalem and Damascus (if the rumours are true), without 18 different semi magical gear sets and weapons riding fucking Pegasus or something. It's all I want. I want to imagine he did this first time, but the lack of eagle vision makes it seem premeditated. On the other hand, unity loading times woulda made this will tedious, so I respect the dedication. You're as good as godly. And after watching a lazerzz first run of unity and him complaining about the stealth it's nice to see someone doing good at it. Liked and subbed.

I never noticed before how strong Arno is. 0:58 when he holds onto the side of the building, slams the Templar’s head on the banister then pulls his entire body out of the window with one arm.
Also, whenever you double-killed, I whooped. God this game gets me hyped and seeing a runthrough as smooth as this is a great. You didn’t even need to use Eagle Vision until two and a half minutes in and even then you’d been dropping suckers like FLIES! I wish I could be as ballsy as you lol
