    Story:
Lara is on vacation in Greece in one of her houses, but not exactly on holiday …
In fact, because of the heat wave, more inhabitants have moved to the seaside to enjoy a little bit of fresh air. So, the small town of Grekinov, also called the City of Memory, is almost deserted ... except maybe for a few inhabitants.
It's perfect for Lara to explore the town, the caves and the underground around the house, to discover the various clues about one of the 7 Shofars who destroyed the walls of Jericho and supposedly hid in the ruins of an ancient Greek city.
Grekinov is called the City of Memory because of ruins, statues and the underground of an ancient Greek city and because various tales are told about some legendary sounds that can be heard during the year. So the legend about a Shofar of Jericho is maybe true.
Also, some inhabitants can maybe help Lara on her quest.

This was one of my favorite TRLE levels in a while. i loved the open world feel. Some of the games are entirely too linear and some builders really fail to think of things like explorability. This one was great though.

I'd have liked it more if there were some more detail inside houses. Different beds instead of the same white one with dolphins on it, and lighting fixtures, furniture, PCs, TV sets, bathrooms, stuff like this which is pretty missing and everything looks medieval except the fruit juice and Lara's pistols and scope, i doubt a Greek village in the present day would be like this in RL. And some NPCs to have conversations and interact with, because the level, except for the lonely cat that meows at you at 18:00, feels like some kind of ghost town. Then, i get the engine is not the same as, for example, GTA IV's so maybe that's impossible.

The cat that follows Lara and meows at her thinking she's the owner at 18:01 is ace, wonder if the script is the same as Winston's.

Yes! I often wonder why more builders don't include interactive characters. I'm also put off by the lack of realism in many of the levels. As you say, not everyone's house would look identical. And why would there be a key under a dumpster on the other side of town from the door it unlocks? I complain, but I haven't built any levels myself. I'm tempted. But it seems like a crazy time investment to get decent at it. Have you built any?

No, i haven't. But i feel somewhat put off by Tomb Raider levels, both TRLE and original ones. For example in Tomb Raider 2 you would think Venice as a city full of random people walking around you, most of which tourists from all around the world and other Italian cities, shops, passing boats... and you only get three desolated levels of nobody else but criminals that want to kill you, even in broad daylight, not even a policeman or carabinieri that comes to help you (like what the Barkhang monastery monks do in a level later in the game) for example, pretty unrealistic. Levels are pretty challenging though with all the stuff and switches you need to find, hardly linear at all. Maybe it's just a matter of outdated engines that don't allow so much interaction and realism (like the first Deus Ex, another outdated but still great game that features much more NPC and environment interaction in addition to exploration and challenges). Unfortunately i don't make TRLE levels and don't know how to make them but if i made them i'd surely focus on realism and interaction with the environment as much as the game engine allows me to, rather than pure exploration. And that meowing cat positively surprised me in that fashion.
