- A former member of the Warsaw Pact, Bulgaria has experience in Soviet-era armored fighting vehicles. And based on the tracked armored vehicle chassis, Bulgaria has created a vehicle tailored to the needs of the Bulgarian Army, the BMP-23 infantry fighting vehicle. The BMP-23 was first introduced in the early 1980s. The goal was to create an improved IFV over the earlier BMP-1.
The BMP-23 has thicker armor and a more powerful diesel engine, which is itself based on a MT-LB chassis.

Neat Vehicle.
small gun though looking at it she looks like she could handle a 75mm or 105mm with ease!
Please make a video on Mașina de Luptă a Vânătorilor de Munte MLVM
Ok bro
the size of thew hull it should have at least a 75mm gun it looks big enough to comfortably handle a 105mm!
It's because it uses an SPA hull that was locally produced.
@@pillbox2079 still that guns looks out of proportion to the hull! the next upgrade maybe go to the BMP3 turret? that'd give it a 100mm gun and anti tank missile capability.
