NCDOT IMAP Program and TIM Training and Development

This video provides an overview of the evolution of the IMAP program from its initial existence in the late 1960’s to the current program size and coverage. It also provides insight into the growth of the Traffic Incident Management (TIM) Training Program and the TIM Training and Development Track that is collocated with the NC State Highway Patrol. This training facility provides a real world classroom for advanced TIM training exercises for both the IMAP Program and the partner agencies that work closely with the NCDOT and the NCSHP while responding to crashes and incidents across the state.
The TIM Training and Development Track also received the 2021 National Operations Center of Excellence TSMO Award for Agency Improvement.
