Dear John, It would bring myself and I'm sure many others a great deal of happiness to see a "Day In the Life" style of film! I'm sure I speak for more than just myself when I say we are all very intrigued by you and would love to know a bit more about your day to day, even if at times monotonous. I'm a very big fan of you and your films, keep up the fabulous work as usual!
Wonderfully perfect to see you out of your sarcophagus just in time for parasol season. Being a divine being myself, even older than yourself I suspect I would greatly desire any tips or tricks for those of us unwilling to grow older gracefully but who still wish to hold on to conceptual artistry. I am a great fanatic of graphic eyeliners and winged lipstick. Your previous tutorial content on soft natural magical illusion have been a godsend in order to 'blend in' with other mortals however, sometimes one wishes to reveal the truest mystical form of oneself as to inspire legend, as all Gods and Goddesses are created to inspire humanity to reach their richest and most powerful forms whether as warriors, lovers or mystics. I would deeply appreciate your genius in this endeavour. Content I'd Love To See: If you'd do more "fad" tutorials, that would be great. Like, recreating "scene," "goth," and other aesthetics through your personal lens. I want to see what punk looks like according to Lord Maclean. Also, some historical reenactments wouldn't go amiss. A Anne Boleyn or Catherine the Great makeup tutorial would be fun. You could even collab with historical makeup channels to go the extra step.
Brands: Would you please do swatch tests of trendy brands, like Jeffree Star and Urban Decay? Whenever a new pallet comes out, I always wonder if it would be approved by you, or what you'd think about it in the way of quality and aesthetic.

The Lord is back!! I really enjoy listening to John's advices, they are always eye-opening and makes me see things in a different perspective. I worked as a makeup artist for 12 years and in my experience most people stuggled to understand colour; especially undertones. Therefore, they found it hard to match tones for colour makeup eg lips and eyeshadows, or tone it to an outfit. I would be really interested to watch your opinion on this topic.

I live in the Highlands, and feel that a filum of you showing a few of your favourite places up here next time you visit - whether on the mainland or your Hebridean homeland - would be marvellous and something different! Meantime, a filum on products (skincare and/or makeup) that might help to disguise at least some of the wrinkles on older skin? I'm in my 60s, so perhaps for us 50 plusers? Of course, your immortal skin has not experienced such things, but having been immortal for so long I feel certain you will have accumulated some simply wonderful tips for us!

Since you're asking, I'd like to see European brands nobody talks about. Collistar, Vichy, Clarins... but I'd watch anything you do.
I bought it too from our Lord’s recommendation. More scented than I usually go for but it’s so versatile as a cleanser as well as a moisturiser.

Yes, I'm with you. I definitely need some tips for my 56 year old self. My eyelids, I used to have alot of play room with them, but unfortunately, my lids have become hooded. I cannot get the trick of making a "fake" crease. It always seems so harsh looking. Maybe I can learn how to do it less harsh looking, like it's just a line drawn on.

I love the palest shade series. Expanding on that, I would love a series dedicated to finding eyeshadow shades that suit pale skin. That's something I struggle with a lot. A lot of pallettes lightest shade always looks really dark on me... So a series like that would be most helpful 😊
YES! Light shades disappear on me and medium ones look…awful. I love Lord Maclean’s very minimal eye makeup. More of those tutorials for us would be wonderful.
I just got the Clinique serum foundation and the lightest cool shade is orange on me, I asked for a swatch packet as one of my samples and literally none of the shades are pale enough, the neutral leans very yellow. So disappointed as the finish looked nice although the brush they show people using with it made it streaky (it was a freebie with foundation purchase or £20!).
what an amazing idea! i am very fair, and i sometimes struggle with finding shades in various products-bronzer, sometimes eyeshadow, but ESPECIALLY lipliner and lipstick. i don’t have very pigmented lips as john does, but i would appreciate his advice on how to tackle a lighter look.
I’m 1/2 Norwegian, 1/4 English and 1/4 German, and I approve of this idea.
For foundation and concealer, alima pure has an amazing selection of very fair to very dark. Also, a large undertone selection. I'm very fair(irish) with sensitive skin and their foundation is great! They also carry blush, eyeshadow, lipstick, etc. but I haven't tried any of those yet.

I absolutely adore your films. Your way of talking makes me feel so calm and relaxed, and you have such a beautiful way of applying cosmetics, absolutely seamless.
I would love to see more films related to your background as a professional makeup artist! Perhaps some tutorial films about how you choose the right colours for a coherent makeup look on different clients, since I often have trouble choosing a lipstick shade that complements my eyeshadow (and vice versa), or finding a blush that would not disrupt the eye and the lip.
In all honesty, I'd be happy to watch whatever you wish to produce. We are simply thrilled that you are back, John. Stay safe and stay well!

I would love to see more fragrance-related content! You introduced me to Roja Parfums at the beginning of 2020, and though I've yet to intake any of Roja's sweet sweet juices through my olfactory senses, that film kickstarted my journey into the fragrance world. Be it other luxury brands or little-known perfume designers, I can be sure to learn something new the next time you produce a film centered around fragrances. And of course, thank you for all that you bring us, John!
