Cyrille had it all power, pace & a rocket launcher of a right foot, Cyrille must’ve given opposing defenders nightmares knowing they were gonna play against this mountain of a man. I was at a match a few years ago & I saw Cyrille, I nearly had cardiac arrest !!! I managed to get him to sign my programme, I will keep it & treasure it. RIP & God bless 1 of my football heroes Cyrille Regis.

I was at his debut V Rotherham in the league cup. He scored a goal that night and the following Saturday V Mboro which were very special. Cyrille scored some really special goals where he'd collect the ball from 40 yards and run at defences, sadly these goals are not recorded. Maybe the best was away to Man City at Maine Road, the goal was so good even the city fans stood up to applaud.
I can remember the one day he came to Alvechurch Football Club for this football camp I was in with a couple of others and he even signed on my birmingham city shirt, even though he wasn't happy about, but he laughed and signed it, what a guy, R.I.P Cyrille

I said are you a boxer, he just laughed, OK are you a footballer, he laughed louder, I said ok who are you, he told me and bought me a beer.
