We don't need a PWA asset generator. Because we don't need PWA assets or PWAs. Make a real, native app and your problem is solved. Don't build fake apps please.
That is a fair point. Thank you for your comment. However, for small teams to teams of one :) harnessing your existing skillset makes for a more maintainable codebase. For someone with strong web development skills, progressive web apps allow a much wider reach without having to maintain two or more codebases for the different platforms. Also, while this video focuses on using pwa-assset-generator, there is a lot more to progressive web apps than just making them installable on devices. There is a number of features that can progressively enhance the user experience, offline access being one of those.
@@edpp3687 I assume you are referring to the original comment? If so, I do agree, but I also would rather share my point of view then get involved in a flame war. Some folks have simply made up their mind about a specific technology and it will be very hard to convince them otherwise. We are all entitled to our points of view, and to agree to disagree :)

Native apps are prohibitively expensive for many. PWAs are not fake apps they're just using a different technology. Horses for courses.
