Tino didn't have enough on the plate. Honestly it's quite easy to mock the other person, toprock and footwork to the beat. Spin around then do a simple freeze. So I'm sorry, but he just didn't have enough. I rather go with the person who is putting BBoying on the map. Expanding it further than what it can be. Without innovation, BBoying would not be where it is today. It would be DEAD.
That's the cypher game. Short rounds and exchanges until you wanna show off. Also, that "mocking" is called "burning/burns" and was always in the culture. That's what is traditionally done in the cyphers to get at your opponents. The problem with Rush here is that all he does is sets so he can't just freestyle footwork into a signature. Rush had to run sets or else his moves didn't feel complete. All the energy spent doing flips, twists and turns could have been simple transitions to signatures. Tino on the other hand brought some different go downs, footwork and only used big rounds in response to Rush's more impressive rounds; always finishing clean without tripping or crashing. Also to quote your last statement, it would not be "dead". Just less appealing to the average person who doesn't understand breaking. You can't say you don't like the way foundation is shown when it's done right. Look at Machine, Casper, Katsu, Born, Kid David, Flexum. Traditional but dope AND innovative in their own right. Machine brought krumping into some of his toprock. Casper is fast and aggressive but still can control his body even with all that speed. Katsu is clean and precise; his movements always makes me think mine are horrible. Born flows like rivers and has crazy stylish transitions. Kid David is smooth and funky, always making shit look easy. Flexum is wild and explosive. Innovation doesn't have to just be transitions and moves. It can be the movement of a person.
@@BboyMinty920 I mean I get it. But if you're going to basically call someone out on a "cypher" or any sort or resemblance of calling someone out. At least do something worth while lol. I get all the foundation and attitude each person carries. But at the end of the day, how unique they are is important. But put SOME technical thought into it. It's blood, sweat, time, and tear that you can not lie about.
