I am the son of a Mississippi farmer and carpenter. Neither occupation was right for me and I studied more than anyone in my school. It was tough but I did become a CPA and ultimately a corporate accounting manager for a thirty billion dollar company. I was never the smartest but I did have one of the highest levels of motivation and more importantly an uncompromising standard of ethics.
No instant gratification for this fine man ! Hard work and determination was his goal. This man is a REAL hero ! His story should be shown to children in poverty stricken areas, such as, AMERICA !

I am blessed to see the foundation helping so much and your story inspiring many! However, as a farmer and trainer, I look forward to the day where farmers are no longer regarded as part of the bottom of society. And a future where we don't need to go out of the country because local Filipino entrepreneurs provide the jobs and opportunities right here in the Philippines.

Now my hero in Science and Engineering, a real IC Designer indeed. Being a test engineer we looked at designers with highest regards. Ang dami palang talented sa bansa natin aside kay Dado, si Dr. Zara, at Dr. Nebres ng Ateneo at iba pa. Hmm bat behind tayo sa STEM(Science Technology Engineering Mathematics) sa ibang ASEAN. Consumer country tayo eh, walang sariling tech products na catalyst sa economy.
One thing Dado forget to do the significant job is to develop concept on clean and nutritious food in order to develop food based enterprise....we always forget the system that support life....
I am just worried of the term used "wanting better life" but he said farmer put food in the table. there is something wrong the way we defined "farming" I am sorry for that....try to imagine the world we don't have farmers. we are just losing productive farmers. not just farmers...professional and productive farmers.
+JULITO ALIGAEN i agree yet, having high goals in life is not bad as long as you still remember where you came from. The video is not encouraging everyone to not be farmers or hate the life of a farmer but to encourage them to aim high and let not poverty stop you from achieving your dreams. I myself is a farmer's son and I am proud of that. thanks
I agree too. But there is a better way of farming. Using technology to yield better things... Better productivity. Happier farmers. And that is why we need to learn. We need to step up. We need to be brave. We need to have a more futuristic perspective while being humble enough to see what is in our past and present. God willing, can happen :)
