I think it's cool. Green being introduced is nice since I love the ramp style cards (I.E Dragoncraft from Shadowverse). I think the new borders on the packs are really nice. And I think the art is good. Shout-out to Seven Sword Saint's SPR
A lot of good points here (about 8 min. in). A lot of vanillas, super weak nexuses. I said on the subreddit earlier that there's no AIS-tier rare to keep an eye out for. I got to a point where I was only looking at the back few cards of each pack. Instead of just opening the rest I decided to host some sealed tournaments for my friends. That way I have to actually look at the commons and uncommons.
I agree with you on the Gundam. I can only afford to buy one box of each set meaning I get almost none of the special cards. If the whole range of Gundam were like x-rares I would have cried myself to sleep with zero Gundam and tons of vanillas.
Just finished the video. You're right that the no-rare packs are kinda lame. Same with the no SPR boxes they introduced. In my opinion this trend shows the biggest problem with opening BSS packs: You can low roll easily but it's really really hard to high roll. AIS in set one made it easier to high roll, but there's nothing like that here. BSS has X rares and foil versions of cards, then some AAs and that's it. One Piece TCG has Super Rare (X rare equivalent), Secret Rare, many AAs of different rarities, AA leaders, AA DON... Set 3 even has AA reprints of older cards (the WANTED poster ones). Pokemon TCG has lots of different card arts for even common cards. They're not worth much but they feel good to pull. It wouldn't be a good thing just to intentionally powercreep the game to boost pack opening excitement and the secondary market. But I am concerned about how bad the packs feel to open sometimes. Clearly they're focused on the competitive aspect of this game, but there should be ways to make cracking packs more exciting without harming the competitive side.
I actually highly disagree with you about their execution with the gundams. Many of us were hoping for it to draw in more players, but the extremely low pull rate and content of the IP gave newer players almost no reason to join. You mentioned it yourself about the void Lord's niche use, which means these awesome looking gundam cards really won't even make their way into most decks. The gundams honestly should've had their own archetypes, possibly with its own starterto draw more players and make them more played. I hate that my exia won't be in my white deck because superbia is just not that great
I definitely disagree about the gundams. Bandai really missed the mark with making them voidlord alt arts. If they just had their own archetype, all those vanilla slots people are complaining about wouldn't exist.
Hey hey I was the purple green player at your locals! I’m glad I changed your mind about that little ant guy. He’s a very good card early on

Why is the price tanking on boxes
The bad ratios of this set, along with their being a ton of vanillas.
Game is in the typical set 2 doldrums
czcams.com/video/PtGDDCWTSmc/video.html Because there are boxes like this one with nothing in them :(

Ok, I could easily be wrong, but as a yellow luster Michaela player, i think Nexus hazard is an incredible upgrade to burning force

Thx for the video
Hey how would you build white with the cards from thus set

Bro sounds like the nerd emoji
The problem with this set is that 1/5 of the cards are vanillas.
