  • After exploring the Ponkey branch last week, this video shows another seven stations in the Rhosllanerchrugog area near Wrexham.
Rhos was known as the "largest village in Wales" with 10,000 residents. This mining community had a large number of stations due to the Great Western Railway taking on the local tram company, and providing railmotor services on two branch lines which served numerous small halts. Many of these stations were literally just 200 metres apart.
This video covers the following: Rhos (GWR) Station, Brook Street Halt, Pant Halt, Wynn Hall Halt, Rhos (Shrewsbury and Chester Railway) Station, Johnstown and Hafod Station and Wynnville Halt.
