I think the live versions (live singing + live instrumentals) sound really good because woozi and his team are excellent at arrangement. Woozi has an incredibly good ear and is one of the producers that really make use of synthesizers and autotune to enhance not to shroud. Seventeen is pretty amazing

I love Joshua's new singing method by scretching his voice. Since his debut, he had used soft voice when he sing, but this time he used new method. Also I have heard that this song's lyric is came from his own experience. It is so admiring and proud of him that he wrote his songs lyrics. If you're to analyze, He's actually the most stylistic in singing. He's playful with his voice. He can do rock, soft, and has a potential in belting. He has the most falsetto in the group, yet can be a rocker. I'm glad ppl appreciate him more. He's actually a great vocalist.

Joshua surprised me so much with his range of vocal textures in this song!! He's so versatile it's amazing. Ngl when he went falsetto for the bridge, my heart fluttered (his voice, his HAIR, his earpiece, just....). Meanwhile, Vernon totally EMBODIES this genre, like!! Pop-punk was made for him, even down to his expressions. The harmonies Joshua came in with blew my MIND -- he and Vernon's voices compliment each other so well, and they fit this song so perfectly! Everything from their energy to their styling was spot on as well... Watching this, I couldn't stop thinking "Ooa.. they're so cool. Like. So Cool." Having rocket-line drop a comeback song in Attacca was a treat in itself, and I never expected we'd get a live band version like this!! Thank you so much SEVENTEEN and Genius. I'll be adding this to my growing list of favorite SVT live performances.

It's very rare to hear Joshua's raspy kind of thick voice, in 2MINUS1 he really conveyed the feeling of being a *broken hearted* 90's kid even though he defended himself that "no one broke his heart" lol. This song is very nostalgic... Vernon and Joshua brought so much emotion from the past, and I'm not complaining.

They are both very handsome, but Joshua has an Asian face and Vernon has a Western face. And yet, Joshua is a native English speaker, Vernon is better at Korean than Joshua, so that is inexplicably crush to me. Also, in a change from the usual refreshing idol songs, the two of them singing about the pain of love in a rock style in English is so cool that I would probably collapse if I didn't decide how many times to listen to it in a day.
for what it's worth, Joshua is Korean-American, meaning he's of Korean heritage/race but born and grew up in America. Most likely Joshua spoke Korean with his family and some local community, but spoke and learned English in school. (I grew up in California and had a number of Asian American friends for whom this was the case.)
Vernon is also Korean-American, but he really grew up in Korea (moved there before he was like 5?) so I'd call him more "American-Korean" -- I believe he also considers himself much more Korean than American. Vernon probably had the opposite language situation of Joshua, where he spoke English at home with his mother but spoke and learned Korean in school.
Joshua's parents are both Korean (again, heritage-wise; not sure where they were born), whereas Vernon's mother is White American and his father is Korean (both heritage and birthwise). Often with mixed-race Asians, it's easiest to tell they're Asian by looking from the bridge of the nose up, primarily the eyes.

I'm sure the America line had some difficulties in a foreign country, but I really respect that they are now working as wonderful singers in the same country✨✨

the live version its SO HARD omg like the harmonisations, the live band, the raw vocals, them just VIBING, the fits, literally everything. this is seriously one of my fav performances ever omg and its what made 2 minus 1 one of my fav songs ever ahhh
