- Ethiopia, Simien Mountains. I travelled to the north of Ethiopia on the border of Tigray and was blown away by the beauty of this country! I have done many tracks in my time but this was one of the best! We went with 2 guides who were armed for safety reasons but the trek was safe, we also came across the incredible Gelada baboon.

You should definitely go to Somaliland afterwards. Especially Saylac, Saaxil and Sanaag are beautiful places (islands, nature, mountains and sea's). I'm sure you'll enjoy it tooo

As for recommendations, I don't even know where to begin with because of the many things the city has to offer. Here are a few of them you may want to check out, Nech Sar National Park, Chamo Lake, Abaya Lake, and many others that I don't wanna spoil:) Use "Gamo Travel Tours" for your tour guide as they have five stars rating. I hope you saw endangered species, including the Ethiopian wolf and the Walia ibex, a wild goat found nowhere else in the world at Simien Mountains. Have a Good Trip.
You did it, It would ne much better just after rainy season. I suggest it good to mention where the park/simen mountain located, and the region is called North Gondar and it borders with Tigray. iI still didn't visit but i will make it the near future, possibly after September if God willing. U r very brave person man. I can imagen that at good times it would be very good adventure. But from your videos i learn a lot.as ethiopian we must work very very hard to keep torists confert and make it easy. For weak people it is almost impossible to visit and enjoy such peautiful places. But the toilet part makes me laugh all night also makes me sade. But thay gave u all thay got.
