Look Lee Grant, still alive and kicking age 90-something, SPELLS IT OUT. Antisemitism is the denominator. Forget the Holocaust. Antisemitism remains the denominiator. Grant told them straight. `You want to make me look bad.` Ditto Rivers. That interview where she presenter ticked her off for having costmetic surgery. The woman had she not been from a minority culture (Jews excluded) would not have found herself in a tv job. She was lightweight intellelctually and pretty damn plain looks-wise. Yet she interrogated Rivers about having had work done. I think this is the interview that Rivers terminated. But maybe it was another. She, like mosf of us Jews of significance, are treated shabbily and like most of us she tires of `being nice`. Last night at a Le Marche Italian event I met a woman who some years ago had heard my talk on Hitchcock and Alida Valli at the Riverside Cinema in Hammersmith. (She was the then programmer having started the programming at the Regent Cinema Regent Street) She paid me a lovely compliment. `To have seen you in action` she sighed. `To have seen you in action`. I mention the above because for the past 10 years and with the support of Google I have been targeted by a psychopathic British ++++ and ++++ tabloid smear merchant . The man published a list of London `Liggers` or Freeloaders and I was among the 10. The man hires minions to stalk and to harass and often himself appears at events. On one occasion having heqrd about and ruminated upon the targetting I met the man who proceeded to accuse me of being at the event (an art show) without an invite. I pulled the crips while velour invite from my handbag and waved it. He proceeded to harass me and along with 5 thug co-horts chanted `No invite, no invite` while taking photos. Finally I gave him/them the finger. The photo is used almost exclusively on Google to define my own page. See what I mean?
Two GIANTS of comedy both gone. My God we have nothing now compared to these two. Joan and Edna - thank god I was lucky to live through their greatest years.
The "Queen" was Jeannette Charles... same lookalike actress who played Queen Elizabeth II in Austin Powers and Naked Gun movies. But, the late great Princess Diana was really in the audience sitting in front-ish of the "Queen".
I know she loved London as she could be more raucous. She said once on the Graham Norton show this is England you can say anything. She was so clever, sharp, risque, witty & deep. Her husband had already killed himself & she sucked it up go carried on.
Joan looked especially so fabulous during this era. When she got her last several years' round of newest plastic surgery, I was shocked and couldn't understand why. It just sort of threw off her whole persona, including her comic delivery. Brilliantly business-savvy comedian and performer. Can't believe she's been gone all these years now. So funny. :)
She is a wonderful trail blazing pioneer. With all due respect to Phyllis Diller who was great in her day , but side by side in their 70's n 80's Joan ran circles around Phyllis. Joan Rivers was my all-time favorite! *Adored* her (that was before she went under the knife for the grotesque facial butchery--the surgeon should have been sued for malpractice).
2024 and Joan Rivers is still criminally underrated
Federal crime . Call FBI
Dame Edna was overrated.
Not true.
Maybe in your world...but in mine, she's rated right up there with the very best sir 😂❤
Joan Rivers never fails to disappoint. Joan is, and, always has been, a comic genius.
2022 and Joan Rivers is still criminally underrated.
she was before internet otherwise she would be huge
Think it applies today too
*YES*
She is a comedian's favourite comedian, which is all they ever want.

Joan Rivers was absolutely brilliant!! Definitely the best female comedian ever!! Her stand up comedy shows are incredible!! 👌🏽😂🤣😂🤣
2023 and Joan Rivers is still criminally underrated.
This was in 1992 and she was still telling the same, tired old jokes up until the day she died!
@@NoName-yb1iv It seems you kept listening to them. At least she made many people laugh until the tears rolled down their cheeks.
Wonderful wonderful Joan one of a kind and so much more beautiful than she ever realized. Every day without her is a duller day.

I love how some of the trolls try and diss on Joan. She was one of the greatest female comics of all time.
Trolls are jealous because they don’t have the whit intellect and pure bliss. I adore her.
They can't cancel her now, so they diss her..
@@ianpeddle6818she was not only a great comedian, but savvy and prosperous business woman, also a terrific author
She was 59 and RUNNIN in them heels into Harrods 😂
Only something really funny can make me laugh out loud when I'm watching it alone. This performance did that. She is missed.
Love her! She will always be one of the greatest!

OMG, I didn't even recognize it was Diana until you pointed it out. Thanks a bunch!
Thanks for the clarification :-)
I love Joan she's fantastic
She was ahead of her time….❤
@ Susan Bowen But not this time...
BEST Female Comedian of ALL Time
R.I.P.
I wonder what Joan would think of Cancel Culture and the WOKE MOVEMENT
She’d tear it to pieces.
She'd drop dead.
I always liked Joans dresses so elegant and rich
I taped this on Showtime and watched it over and over and over ❤️❤️❤️
The funniest woman to ever live ❤
She sure is!.😂

Isn't it wonderful? To receive, likes, after death? She was fantastic
Thank you so much for this upload 😊
As I always say : "Suicide figures would instantly drop if everyone knew about Joan Rivers"
She was brilliant!
Her daughter Melissa is the spitting image of her. She must miss her so much. What a loss to comedy. RIP Joan.

Great comedienne, nice lady, and loving mother gone too soon. 💔😊
A legend
"I clean my attic, I find Ann Frank" 😆
Ooooooo Princess Diana!!! ❤️👸🏼👑
This was when she was still doing clever material vs. just insults. This was the Joan Rivers I enjoyed watching.
Did she get older and turn shit?
Sound is back, river is flowing
Oh boy. She was unstoppable. Dear Dot Matrix.
Note the video title, a double entendre. _Joan Rivers: Abroad in London_
Nooneee can top her! Definitely she is THE COMEDY.
The BEST.
She was so real. A real NYer. God bless her and may she be in heaven for all eternity.

'They' murdered Joan
Joan Rivers playing the old lady from 30 years! And she is as energetic and bitchy and awesome now as she was then!
Wow, I genuinely thought it was Melissa in the thumbnail, She and Joan look incredibly alike
Anybody else noticed princess diana in the audience
She looks like the actual queen, is that her?

Sad but true
Did she watch this show in preparation for her return to London in 2005? a lot of the jokes are similar lol
It’s so great Joan dragged the queen away from a gruelling schedule of planning car crashes in Parisian tunnels.
