    Indians who are watching this video, i like to share you one thing. In India there the salary is not good as a fresher. So along with PLC programming or Automation Engineer be ready to thorough with Control system paper also improve Manager or Administrative skills by knowing more about Industrial oriented training will help you to improve your salary package in upcoming years. Otherwise after gaining experience go some of the countries, he mentioned above for better job opportunities.

    As a fresher in the Industrial Automation Engineering sector in India with 9 months experience in PLC/HMI/SCADA programming with multiple brands like Siemens, Allen Bradley, omron, delta, Schneider, pro-face, LabVIEW, citect etc...the salary is actually not that great here...
    On average, freshers only make around ₹144,000 ($1,780) to ₹216,000 ($2,660) annually... which is very bad even by Indian standards.
    In India, most automation companies offer higher salary to people who has more years of experience (6-8 years) and not based on there actual skills....So the sad truth about the Industrial Automation Engineering field here in India is that, even if you are very skilled in your work, it doesn't reflect on your salary, which ultimately discourages most freshers to continue in this field, and they often switch to some IT industry which offers higher salaries.
    So here in India the Industrial Automation Engineering field is actually not that lucrative. 😅

    Thanks for the video !
    You should take a look at Australia and New Zealand. Salaries are high.
    Also, pay attention that "Automation Engineer" might not mean "PLC / SCADA programmer". Most often it refers to the IT kind of automation.
    Would you or someone reading this comment be aware of companies recruiting PLC / SCADA programmers to work remotely ? Or contractors who are able to get this kind of job remotely ?

      @@csongor48 But have you ever breaked a leg? Or born a baby? Or payed you children’s schoolbill? Your are ofc qualified to complain, but as a nordic citizen, I would rather pay more to taxes, fees, energy and food, than pay some greedy capitalists that make profit of my basic needs. Yeah, in the US you have insurance payed by your work, but that’s just another form of capitalism in an other system.

    • @howtoguro
      @howtoguro Před 9 měsíci

      I disagree. As a US citizen my company is paying nearly $700 a month in health insurance that they would not be covering otherwise. My yearly deductible is $7000.
      As a percentage of our salary health insurance is an absurd tax, Canadians who live a short distance away are paying 6000 per capita while we’re paying 13,000, while costs are similar.
      Because I work for a small company my retirement plan has many more fees that would not be tolerated in an equivalent industrialized country.
      My ability to save money in a tax advantaged account is tied to whether my company offers it or not. Which is silly.
      I would much rather a large entity such as a government doing the negotiating for healthcare so they can get a significantly better deal as is done in the US for Medicare. There should be a cap on the price of these services relative to Medicare or even other industrialized countries.
      When it’s all added up, some of us have a large salary that is distributed to those things other countries take for granted.
