Who Should NOT Move To Florida

- Now that I have made a bunch of videos about moving to Florida, I wanted to put out one in the opposite direction about who should NOT move to Florida. And this video is directly inspired by some of the comments I have seen in those videos about Florida.
You see Florida is not for everyone, and I never set out making these videos as if it were. But no matter how good your intentions, the bad actors will still always show up.
I know it's not perfect here, nowhere is. But I think these type of people will complain about ANYTHING, no matter how perfect it is. So in my true fashion, I wanted to put my own POSITIVE spin on something that would otherwise be negative and I hope that all of my awesome and loyal viewers who love Florida like I do, will back me up on thisđ

You hit the nail on the head with the quality of life statement. People don't understand that the place you live can contribute to your happiness. Although, Paradise is a state of mind not a place on Earth, it is proven that living near the ocean does generally make people happier.
Yes I think so too. Sure you can be happy anywhere, there is no disputing that. But I think if you are unhappy where you are because of your surroundings, then moving to a place like this can help. It did for međ
Sunshine does improve one's mental outlook, which is why so many northern places are hard for 6 months, as people battle SAD (seasonal affect disorder). The negative ions that are given off in a shower, naming you feel good, are also what you experience along the ocean, in by fountains or waterfalls. However, many people forget that they can move, but their mental attitude comes with them, unless they consciously change it. People who are argumentative or want to degrade people or be drama queens will likely bring that with them wherever they go. To find a friend, first show thyself friendly. That comes from the Good Book, and it does work!
I would say a lack of sunshine would contribute to seasonal unhappiness, I donât think the ocean generally makes people happier.
Most people that live close to the ocean are so busy they donât see the ocean on a daily basis
There's a lot of ocean in the world that doesn't surround Florida, thankfully.
People complain about everything lol that's just how it is. Florida is perfect for me because it is the exact opposite of everything from New York. Here in ny, they are still rushing, complaining, fussy about everything.
It sounds like you are really going to like it here once you make the moveđ
Bro i can't wait to leave this rat ness called new York its too much noise and way to fast and darn cold i can't no more
@@stephawnmattis476 Sounds like FL is wating for you!
Itâs a very nice and best state. I was born there and used to live there.
@@andresbonilla5334 Yes it is!
Spot on video. I can definitely vouch for the traffic, accidents and Miami Beach not being nearly as congested as NY city.
Thanks, glad you think so too!
When I lived in Florida it was my best life look forward to moving back thanks for all the input.
Nice, glad you enjoyed the video and hopefully you'll make it back soon!
I moved here 3 years ago from Mass, and I LOVE IT!!! No more SNOW, and Lots to do on Days OFF!!!
Very cool! I feel the same way đ
Iâm from Boston and Iâm looking to be where you are! đ Iâve lived here all my life, but I was NOT built for snow.
I agree with you. I love Florida. Lots of nice people. I want to move to Florida
Nice, come on down!
In Mexico they have a saying that translates as: "you are only as happy as you want to be." Some people move to the South thinking that it will solve all of their problems, and they are the same unhappy person they were when they lived in the north. You need to have realistic expectations, plan ahead, do your research on the area that you want to live in, and save your money. Anyone with anger management issues will probably not do well in Florida.
That is a very wise saying and I totally agree with it! People need to really be honest with them selves to see if moving is something that can actually help or if the problem is them
You're correct about the haters and complainers. I knew a guy who said he hated Florida and that it was God's waiting room. I explained to him that there are all kinds of people of all ages.... even kids that go to school. He would have none of it. The strange thing is... He never stepped foot in Florida...Ever!!!! Ridiculous
Totally ridiculous! Those are exactly the type of fools I am talking about, and you've been unlucky enough to know some of them
My older brother was just in Orlando fl he said its beautiful there
Great video with awesome insight:) Iâve lived in Florida for nearly my whole life, and itâs great. Grew up in South Florida, and am now in Orlando for school.
Just my 2 cents to anyone interested in coming here: South, Central, and Northern Florida have quite different things going on. These are generalizations, based on my 23 years of life here:
Southern Florida is already well developed, highly diverse, and quite crowded in a lot of areas. The culture is very Hispanic, and certain parts can feel more like visiting a Latin American country, rather than the United States, especially in parts of Miami. Crime and poverty is pretty common to come across once you leave the wealthier or tourism areas, so be aware of where you are and your surroundings. But itâs absolutely livable, and my favorite place in the whole world (and Iâve lived in Israel and Europe before đ).
Central Florida is currently in a state of constant construction, development, and growth. Lots of new people and new wealth filling this part of the state. Unlike South Florida, which feels like itâs already had its golden days, Central Florida has that feeling and energy of âweâre just getting started, babyâ. Despite this, there are still plenty of cute beach towns to visit, and the Ocala area is home to some beautiful natural springs if thatâs more your thing. Itâs traditionally a socially conservative area, but thatâs quickly changing as it grows. Crime and poverty in the cities (Tampa and Orlando) are a bit high, but outside of the cities you wonât have much of a problem in most areas.
Northern Florida is much more simple, and traditional outside of Jacksonville and Tallahassee. Thereâs a lot more nature to appreciate, and a lot less people than its other counterparts. Tallahassee has a bunch of college students, and Jacksonville is a physically large city with something always going on if you look hard enough. Idk about the crime and poverty levels up there, I donât hang around northern Florida too much.
Hope you all enjoy Florida if you choose to come here! Itâll give ya a lot of memories, I promise:)
Thanks a lot Scottie for enjoying the video and for your excellent comment! I always love hearing from people that have spent many years here in FL, and getting their perspectives. Sounds like you really love it here, are welcoming to newcomers and have a lot experience visiting the state đ

Beautiful in winter, mighty rough in summer. A gardeners paradise, plants grow like crazy. Yup there are large bugs. People as always are a mix, both good and bad. Driving is certainly challenging so one must be more careful and nope it's not cheaper than Illinois.
Also, the clouds in Florida are amazing.
All true, and just like anywhere else, one must accept the good with the bad đ
Florida is amazing, if someone has a problem with it, then don't move there! Super simple.
Good video brotha!
Agreed! Thank you !
Love your honesty as this is very helpful for people who want to move to Miami :)

Over the past 10 years I'll make a couple of comments a week on various types of CZcams videos -- usually relating or adding to an insight or perhaps a silly joke. I'm amazed that on a regular basis my gmail will send me some reply that is just plain mean and usually ignorant or totally missing the point at best. Like these people wake up in the morning, drink their coffee and then go to troll comments because that is their job. I can't imagine if I had a channel!
Anyway, I grew up in West Palm Beach in the 60s and 70s, been in NYC since and planning a return (probably to the Treasure Coast area). You'r videos are thoughtful and helpful :)
Like you said, I guess they just have no life, it's sad really. It doesn't even bother me, it is more just disrespectful to say something mean for no reason. But anyway, I appreciate your comment, it was very nice and thoughtful, and I really like WPB, it is a great area of FL. It seems like the treasure coast is probably the perfect place to retire in FL. Hope you will make it back down! Thanks for watchingđ

I agree with you regarding lifestyle improvement living in Florida versus Illinois (Chicago) where I came from. Itâs 1000% better in Florida. The caveat, however, is employment. I was lucky and worked from my home in Florida for 14 years but for my Chicago office. Although there are opportunities for employment in Florida the salaries tend to be less generally. Florida is great for entrepreneurs or medical professionals. Yes, the driving is horrendous in Florida especially during season when nobody seems to know where theyâre going.
Yes, definitely an upgrade in lifestyle. I think the job opportunities certainly depend on where in FL, but in general it is a good place to be self employed or in the medical fieldđ
Florida is a huge state with a whole variety of places. Even the climate is quite a bit difference from one end of the state to the other. Odds are you can find some area more to your liking than others.
That is a great way to put it!
Girlfriend and I are trying to get away from California since weâve lived here our whole lives. Youâve pretty much have summed up my mentality for both places and why I want to leave California. Ever since covid hit, itâs made our decision to move difficult but I do like coming back to your channel and feeling motivated to be there. Hopefully this year or next year if things get better.
I'm glad I could have a positive influence in your decision to leave. Covid is definitely making everything tougher. People are still moving here even though, but it does add a layer of risk. Thanks for always coming back to the channel and watching, I really appreciate it! If you want more motivation, check out my video from today, its all about california and florida!
Michael Bordenaro yeah I watched it all the way through and ended up on this video without realizing đ the comment was in a direct response to that video haha youâre insight is very good and love how chill you make it seem. Iâm ready for that life. I am going to miss the music scene here in California but eh Iâm ready for something new! Hollywood is already played out for me!

That is awesome, that is a success story in my book. So glad you shared and good for you for changing your life!!
Hey man, thanks for the videos. There is always great content. I have memories of New York playschool (summer school without classes, just excursions) before I started high school, and to my surprise, they were bullies lurking. Surely they were dealt with, but I was so surprised that they were there! Unfortunately, trolls are everywhere. I am an introverted male, who is always encouraged by my brothers and sisters who are married with kids living in Texas, Florida, Michigan that once I get out of New York City, I will never ever go back, except maybe to visit. With your videos and others, I think you might be right. My fears extend to the fact that I don't know how to drive, and of course, I would need a job. I certainly have some savings, but yeah, I need to get a driver's license, and maybe secure a job? The low-key lifestyle sounds so appealing, especially during this pandemic, where we are forced to perhaps contemplate what we want out of life, and what is really important. I am now 45 and have worked for the same company for 20 years, and my fear is once I quit, can I find work anywhere else again.
Your concerns are all legitimate and come with the territory when making a big move like this across the country. The job situation is also a big thing for most people, especially when coming from somewhere like NYC. Maybe you can come and check it out for a little while first before making it permanent. There a few places here where you could technically get away without a car like Miami Beach, Surfside, Sunny Isles. Those are the ones that come to the top of my head
Keep it up....love your videos with this calming style of talking to the audience
Glad you enjoy it, I have plenty more to come!

Oh thatâs great I was just there today! Excellent choice/areađ
I love living in the panhandle. Property taxes are high, hurricane insurance is high and summer tourism can be a pain. That said, itâs fantastic for 9 months a year including weather, locals and things to do. People are old south conservatives in the Panhandle unlike many other parts. Better love humidity and if you can swing it, near the water the sea breeze really helps. Paradise is the way I describe it.
Sounds beautiful, that is one area of FL I have yet to visit and I am looking forward to going there, once all the virus stuff is over
Since the Corona started, the traffic has been cut about 25% overall. Itâs been a nice commute to work. I live and work in Fort Lauderdale.
Yes it has been noticeably less, especially when the stay at home was in effect, but even now, its not full capacity
Born and raised in Florida thereâs no other place Iâd live. Now, there are some parts of Florida I would not live in like Miami!! Living in upper North Florida is a lot calmer if thatâs what you like. Nothing like always having the sunshine and beaches.
Nice to hear from another Floridian, born and raised. There are so many parts of FL I love. One day I may live in north FL as I really do love St. Augustine
What's your take on living in South Florida?
Once again, nailed it! Lol funny last comments đ, canât wait for your book about Florida.
Yes the comments on this vid have been top notch haha! I have enjoyed reading and replying to all of them for sure. Hey, that's a new idea! A book...
âFlorida Confidentialâ -> (All the cool Florida secrets you need to know) Like the Great late Anthony Bourdain â Kitchen Confidentialâ whose honest , straight shooter, attractive and real story telling book became a hit at the time he published it, even though he was not famous at the time he published, he became famous because of it and this at a time when CZcams did not exist, you seem to remind me of him but the more relax millennial generation version, just like him you are very casual on your videos but with a slower tempo but I think itâs because of your content and nice lifestyle, or maybe I am wrong and you really just like to chill hihi... But you have a talent for storytelling, very easy to follow and very real, keep at it and if you publish your book, let me know, I will definitely buy it... thanks for the replies Michael
I like that name, sounds like this book could practically write itself almost. I take the Anthony Bourdain resemblance as a complimentđ I did not even know he became famous from a book, just used to see his show sometimes. The me you see in the videos is the REAL me and just how I am in real life. I don't copy anyone in my videos, but if I had to be "like" anyone else on youtube it would be Lana Blakely, she seems to have the same type of calm and relaxed feel. I really appreciate all the compliments and your enthusiasm for my content, and it's people like yourself, that inspire me to not only keep going, but to try and improve and be the best at this as I can. Thank you very much for watching and supporting, and you never know, the book might become a reality one day, and I will definitely have a shout out to you in it!

Yes, that is one of my favorite things about FL too!
Great video! I am from Poland and have immigrated twice in my life - 1st to Japan and 2nd to the US. It wasn't easy AT ALL, and I 100% agree that you need to have a very positive attitude, be VERY open-minded, and ... adventurous to move to a new place, especially without a family or any support system. It is definitely not for everybody and can be very stressful but so worth it in my opinion. I personally have zero regrets and consider those two moves as the greatest school of life.
Please make a video on alligators, snakes, etc in residential areas. I am very curious :)
Thank you! Yes it is totally worth it, but it also takes some mental strength for anyone looking to make a big move like that. We don't really have any gators or snakes where I live in MBđ
Excellent video. Especially the part about bad drivers. My brother-in-law asked me which drivers were worse, the ones in Jacksonville or Miami. I had to think a long time and finally said Miami because there they cut you off while honking and flipping you off, whereas in Jacksonville they just cut you off and move on. We live inland a bit from the beach in a two-red light town, so we don't have problems of traffic or congestion, but still get to the beach as much as we want. As a former Illinoisan, you are right that the quality of life is 25 times better here. Better weather and fewer aggressive, in-your-face people, except maybe in Miami.

They say Miami is a scam when NYC and CA are the same dirty, smelly and expensive AF but is where all the fun is. Youâre paying a premium for the things you get especially in Miami
Yeah, I don't know why anyone would say that, because you are paying for the lifestyle and access to all the premium amenities available all within either walking distance or a short drive.
Well put, great video.
Thank you Denice!!
Hey man, I love this. I am from Jacksonville Florida DUVAL!
Cool! Thank for watching, hello to another Floridian!
impatient people in Florida is a direct result of the sheer numbers of New Yorkers there. It simply goes with the territory. As a former Floridian and now current California resident. the two states are NOTHING like one another. Even the climate is night and day. California has turned into a cesspool so Florida will end up being my "last place". No state income tax is a HUGE factor and an important reason to live there. I KNOW when I move I can expect pretty much the same as it was back long ago. I owned a convertible and "rarely" put the top down because it was just TOO humid 90% of the time. It is what it is. Sure, it has a downside but Florida (particularly) Miami / Ft. Lauderdale is probably the melting pot for the finest cuisine cultures in the world. If you love a diverse selection of foods, Miami/ Ft. Lauderdale is the mecca for that. THAT is something I am looking forward to and so is my Colombian girlfriend. Enjoying the vast cuisine choices will be like winning the lottery. The water in Florida is nothing like California. Sure the waves are smaller, but the sheer color of the water in Florida is by FAR better than California which makes it a paradise for water activities. It's JUST better. Lastly, if you want6 diverse culture and language.............Miami again is the place for that. In fact, I'd go so far as to guess English is no longer the dominate language. If going out in public and NOT hearing English gets under your skin.........Miami is the LAST PLACE you wanna be. I can live anywhere in the world, But OVERALL..............Miami / Ft. Lauderdale is as good as anywhere else and puts California to shame. Except for the climate. So-cal probably has the best climate in the world. The NIGHTS I will definitely miss.
Totally agree with your comments, California does have the BEST weather in the world no doubt, but also has many issues. All the issues we have here, I can easily overlook due to the sheer beauty and living on the beach is awesome!
jay kauf Problem with CA is that we have a shitty governor. Floridaâs governor is a republican and letting everything reopen except for places like gyms, beaches, etc in Miami Dade County
@@andresbonilla5334 ........The shitty governor (and he is) is only part of the problem. You also have an Attorney General who id equally as shitty and finally you have an entire legislature that is stacked majority of leftists. THAT is WHY California is shitty. Until THAT leadership changes, very little will change in the state. As an example, the calpers pension fund for the teachers union is about as broke as broke can be and yet the leadership of THAT union remains oblivious top that fact and lives in a constant state of denial because if they EVER told the teachers the TRUTH...................they would be skinned alive. The teachers who are retiring or already retired are going to wake up one morning to a very rude awakening. These and lots of other reasons are WHY people are leaving the shithole of a state by the droves.

The funny thing is that I don't think I would mind the snakes and lizards or even the alligators, but I do mind the cockroaches. . . which we do have here in New York, lol.
Luckily the roaches are something you can pretty much see before you move into a place, so it can be avoided. Only thing is, they can show up anytime, especially if you have nasty neighbors.
Wait until you see a palmetto bug! Resist the urge to call the nearest airport, asking who gave it clearance to land.
You are awesome and your channel is very inspiring! Just keep going and ignore the naysayers :)
Thank you so much! That is really nice of you to say, and I have a long ways to gođ
I enjoy your videos! I like your honesty about living there and I am still keeping Florida on my list of possible places to live. Even with my irrational fear of alligators and crocodiles.
Thank you Kathryn! Yes, just want to be real about how it is to be here. It is a beautiful place but need to be realistic at the same time
Other awesome đ video Michael.
Thank you very much!!
Great video! Florida my happy place
Thanks! Me too đ
Hello Mr Bordenaro, Native here, Jackson Memorial 1959. Grew up in Miami, W Hollywood, West Palm and now live in Nobleton since 2014. Love your content and yes, many good reasons were given. If I may give this as another reason and for me and my fellow Natives of my age, would probably agree, the #1 reason not to move here; This isn't Florida anymore anyway. Think about this, as much as you and many other transplant find a good life here and the beaches, rivers, everglades, etc are spectacular. Lots of outdoor and indoor activities ie; local music festivals, art festivals, indoor museums, bike paths, etc. Imagine what it was like just 20 years before you arrived, so about 40 years ago, then imagine i lived here for 40 years before you even arrived. Can you possibly imagine what Florida looked like then? The beaches, were like the Florida keys now. The springs like weeki wachee, silver springs, itchnetucknee, The Swanee and the Florida Keys. The Everglades went on forever and started at the eastern boundary of Military Trail. There was no alligator alley, only The Tamiami Trail. No I-95, the turnpike ran from Ft Pierce to Miami, no I-75 or I-4. Never an algae bloom or e-coli warnings, never salt water intrusion of the wells of coastal municipalities, etc.
This doesn't even scratch the surface but, it ends the same way. This is not Florida, just a ghost shadow of Florida. If relocating people have all the good qualities you described, then they can literally move just about anywhere and have a good active, rewarding life. Ive finally moved to the upper west coast, just southeast from Crystal River and finally Ive retreated far enough North to feel a connection to "Old Florida". Not the "social" Old Florida but, the Natural one.
Thank you for allowing me the opportunity to at least indirectly communicate with you and offer you a complimentary view pointe.
If any migration should be encouraged let it be retirees. Retirees have permanent income streams, they are gonna spend a lot of time indoors, not really clogging up the bike paths, State Parks, Beaches, etc. They are generally resigned to being patient about most things and wont be adding to downtown work parking woes. Most retirees I've met in my lifetime are attracted to both apartment/condo living as much as to traditional home and yard. And, the very best part, they wont really be around that long đ, so its almost a revolving resales door. Anyway, thank you again. I would be more than glad to give you some insight into this demographics as an additional tool in your arsenal of real estate skills. Respectfully, Dr. David Gutierrez (retired).
You have a very good point David. Sometimes when I go to more "natural" areas of the state I often wonder what it must have looked like 50-100 years ago. Stunning of course and as usual humans have to ruin everything...Good thing a good amount of people that move here are retirees. Nice to hear from a life long Floridian. I truly appreciate the beauty of this state want it to remain as beautiful as it can be.
Great video...Thanks
Glad you liked it!
I am here since 2011, and except hurricane I love everything here.
That's awesome, glad to hear it!!
Good video. It is true locational change cannot change the person,
Thanks! I think it can, but only if they WANT the changeđ
Also, hope there is visual artist community in FL where you can exhibit and build an Art career too. Planning to move to FL in near future...
You have to come down and check out Wynwood in Miami. It is for Artists!!
Michael Bordenaro Thanx đ·
Hey man, great videos. We are moving to Naples soon and so have been doing our research. We are beyond excited. I watched your East Coast/West Coast video, and I am excited about the laid back nature of the west coast, but a bit nervous about the red tide! I will also be heading east frequently to surf. Based on your accent I bet my son you were from Chicago ( I am from Evanston). Then you said Illinois this video, where are you from in Illinois? Keep the great videos coming!
Thank you Jim, that's exciting stuff! Sounds like you plan to enjoy both coasts equally. The good thing is Miami is only a 2 hour ride away from Naples, so its not too bad. I grew up in a small town called Belvidere IL about 90 mins west of Chicagođ
That highway next to the airport can be tough
Hardly blink when on the highway...đł
Hello Michael. Richard again. Nice to talk to you last time. We are still doing our homework. We are ganna call you once we are done and collect enough questions âșïž. Anyway. In the end of the video about 8:16. The street I have see from your videos a few times. It's beautiful. Can I ask where is it? Thanks đ
Hey Richard, that sounds good, whenever you want to book a call, just let me know! that area is Pine Tree Dr in Miami Beach, it is a beautiful streetđ
I admit I am a snowbird...from Ohio. When in Florida I have a blast every day...I go to a different park every day, snorkel daily, love the seafood and fruit sections of big stores like Publix (where did all the small fruit stands by side of the roads go?,) and find all the restaurants owned by families from all over the world...never a franchise operation. I do hide a bit from the sun, and go out early from 5AM to 10AM, then out again at 4:00PM- concerns about skin cancer. I enjoy the sun, and pretty much laid back lifestyle. I enjoy Fla. anytime of year, and enjoy off-season because it's quieter and the water is warmer. Ohioans are very plentiful in Fla., like orange trees! I enjoy your videos and learn alot from them. Tankoo!!!
Can you talk about sinkholes and where is the safest area. Thank you for your videos
I think that is an interesting idea, I'll put it on my listđ
Good one
My family is getting ready to move to the treasure coast. Iâm so excited! The only thing thatâs going to be weird for me is a warm Christmas. Lol
Coming from upstate NY.
Very cool! Such a beautiful area of FL too. The warm Christmas is a bit strange the first couple years, but also its nice to go the beach after opening presents đ
Michael Bordenaro đ
Well stated!
Thanks!
Move to florida if you like to fish. Simple
That is an excellent reason to move here!
I'm a Florida girl. I moved away from there 4 years ago to be near family and have regretted it every day!!!! You are 100% correct in your video. Haters will always be haters!
That is a noble thing to do, but maybe you can make it back here one day. The haters inspired this video, and I am glad I made it. I just spin the negatives into positivesđ
@@MichaelBordenaro My husband and I are moving back as soon as we can! Thanks for the videos. Keep positive. It's the only way to be!
@@jogungirl That's great to hearđ Oh yes, I will keep it positive and I agree, only way to be
I Loved everything you said and agree all of it. I lived in Minnesota for 3 months , LA for 10 years and now 5 years in Portland OR and planning to go to Florida after 1 years of research and went there couple weeks ago to check out the area, yes I love it , I born and raised in Phuket island in Thailand and looking for a similar feeling in USA. Honestly a miserable people are around the world but if we feel right with the place we live and live where we think they have more joyful people that be ok for me now.
First I thought Portland OR will fulfill my need but make me too depressed lack of 6 months nonstop raining, I am an activities guysđ and honestly now have lots of problems here in Portland OR. Anyway thank you for this video, we need more joyful people in Florida and this World đ
Thanks Bogo! Sounds like you'll really be able to appreciate living here in FL and I think the weather is pretty similar to back home in Thailand đ
I really needed this video...Three months...and I am there...
Glad you found the video, 3 months is nothing and then you'll be living the life!
đđđ
My concern is the heat! Because I sweat đŠ a lot and itâs just so annoying. I wish I didnât sweat a lot man.
Heat is a fact of life here in FL, but if you can live by the beach like I do, it is much easier to handle and you can just go down for a dip as you please!
It is hot, all the time. đ„”
Thank you for making this video. It needed to be said. Many Fla haters out there. They don't know what they are talking about.
You're welcome and I totally agree! Happy to set the record straight đ
My stepfather gave me this same talk when I left for Florida. I still came. The first time I saw a palmetto bug was in my bathroom. I barricaded it till my husband got home. I especially love when you talk about how good Miami is. I want Miami, hubby wants fort lauderdale.
That is a funny bug storyđ Miami and Ft Lauderdale are close enough, so whichever you guys decide on, you can always visit the other đ
@@MichaelBordenaro ;-) nudge nudge, LOL just kidding but maybe you can make a video on why Miami is better than Fort Lauderdale and I can show it to him how about my cause a bit LOL just having fun here have a great night love your content take care
@@donnahollywood8007 Haha! I might do a comparison down the road, but I don't think I would go as far as saying it's better, maybe just compare and contrast the 2đ
@@MichaelBordenaro I was being funny not serious LOL
I'll stay up north with the Winters that give a great kill to bugs so they never get too big or plentiful. I remember years ago I was in South Carolina - saw 2 palmetto bugs (we northerners call them cockroaches - no matter what southerners say!) - anyway, I had a panic attack and what was supposed to be a week visit with my friend, ended the next day. Luckily I drove. I packed up and drove (still anxiety ridden) as fast as I could back to Ohio. I swear it took me a week to calm down. Yes folks - THAT is a true phobia.
Hello Michael,...just got back from visiting my sister in Plano Ill. She picked me up at Midway Airport then we went up to Kenosha Wisconsin(after passing thru Rockford Il) and chilled on Lake Michigan for the day,..went into Milwaukee the next day for a bit and then finished up in Lake Geneva Wisconsin. We both had a great time. I know this doesn't have anything to do with the video,...just thought it might put a smile on your face.
Yes it does put a smile on my face because I know all these places and I know the weather this time of year it's beautiful there đ
I feel you about loving Florida, especially coming from Illinois as well. I have 4 more years for my wife to retire and we are retiring to a 55+ community in Lakeland.....Peace !
Very cool! 4 years goes by so fast, you'll be here before you know it. Start the countdownđ
@@MichaelBordenaro I live about 50 due south of Chicago...in the Kankakee area. Where were u at in Illinois?
I used to be West about 60 miles, Belvidere IL. Very small town near Rockford
With the comment about people comparing the traffic in miami to nyc/LA - i agree they may not live in miami but it also shows how little they know about NYC LA traffic (and haven't lived there), because at that those are two totally different "bad traffic" situations (very long standstill hours on freeways vs very slow backed up blocks or zipping and haulting to a break).
Yes very true and also confirms they just like to complain, so better not to come to FL đ
I love my Florida đđđđđ
Me too!
Me 3 đâïžđŽđđđ
Sunlight helps eczema. I do have a fear of bugs and snakes. But though I don't see snakes in NYC I see plenty of bugs all the time! I hate it it might as well be in a sunny place instead of an ice cold trash hole filled with crime! I live in a "luxury" building but we are not spared from the new problems in NYC and its not so luxurious! Its only livable 3 months out of the year! Florida is not expensive compared to NYC. Even the nicest areas in Florida plus they offer better weather and environment in Florida. We have been to many areas of Florida and the drivers are bad but the traffic is minimal compared to what I am used to. We have sat in traffic for 5 hours to go 20 minutes in NYC. People are driving now to avoid being attacked on the subway. This is a good video! We want to explore the idea of moving to Florida more.
Sounds like you are a great candidate to make the move here. It's not Hawaii, but sounds like you can appreciate the quality of life FL has to offer over NYC đ
Good points.
Glad you think so!
