    I remember coming home fro work at McDonald’s. We slid off the road.

      Interesting. There was a thick sheet of ice on all the roads and sidewalks. Did you work at the McDonald's on Roosevelt Road?

    We lived in Glen Ellyn from December 1965 to September 1969. Was this in early or late 1965?

      Hi Jay. The ice storm was on January 23-24, 1965. I just did a Google search. There was a WGN-TV report that said it was one of the worst ice storms on record in the Chicago area. Thanks for your comment!

      I lived in GE from 64 to 68. I don't remember the Ice Storm, but I remember the blizzard about 1966. We had 3 feet of snow in 1 day.
