- What is the role of the #10 in the attack?
Create goal scoring chances for teammates by passing behind the defense or dribbling to create space for others (Playmaker!)
Keep possession under pressure by dribbling or quick passing
Find pockets of space between the opposing defenders and midfielders to receive the ball
Make forward runs into the box to score
An excellent #10 can:
Receive the ball on the move and dribble forward
Be a goal scorer
Be a long range shooting threat
Control the rhythm (tempo) of the game by great decision making: Know when to speed up or slow down the game depending on the situation
Operate in the half-spaces - Sport
Rose Levelle is a true FOOTBALLER not just a good athlete. Great touch, dribbling and incredible football intelligence. The best in the world right now IMO

Was at that Spirit game you showed at the end there. Big comeback win against the national champs. They just dumped it in to Rose despite being triple covered and she still scored. But the play of the game was Paige Nielsen's over the shoulder blind goal line foot save when the goalie was out of the play. Incredible.

Excellent analysis, as my assessment of her performance during several matches (2019 WWC) brings to mind one word, FEARLESS. As this is an essential trait of any natural attacker, Deuce (Clint Dempsey) had it (it being Fearless Swagger) in addition to several others.

She is so skilled with her dribbling and passing. If she could only finish like Lionel Messi, she would be the female Messi. Unfortunately, she can't. Still a phenomenal player though and a joy to watch.
