Askeladd, you did not die in vain... Long live Lucius Artorius Castus, rightful King of Wales and Britain.
Askechadd king of Wales
Fucking Legend
Gigachad Pretender Maredudd III. - starts as a petty rebel lord taking advantage of the adoptedness of Gareth Bale, wins throne of rising Duchy of Wales, makes it a kingdom, fights off 70k Austrians to marry Duchess of Burgundry, kills so many Habsburgs that he's in line to their succession, topples the pope in Rome and takes Paris before actually bothering to clean up Scotland.
Wales is really hard done by by EU4 devs. It wasn't formally annexed until the 16th century and so should exist at game start as a junior partner of England.
and they don't even have a unique mission tree, meanwhile some random ass cities in the middle of the HRE have a full fledged branching mission with 34 different permanent bonuses
ruins england but doesnt give more provinces away "for some extra challenge" xD
Perfectly balanced. As all things should be
You should also be able to conquer everything as England, release Wales, and give them a bunch of counties before integrating them. Then when you release them again to play as them they should have everything you'd originally given them
Yes, but it wouldn't be as cool, would it? ;)
We have England campaign in plans anyway for Angevin!
Strictly speaking of optimization, this would've possibly made its way onto an Angevin England achievement hunt, as a thing to spend a few last years on after the campaign winds down. That said, the cool factor of Wales getting its own video is something I am definitely here for.
Between this and the German football achievement, I like the little sporting references in some of the EU4 achievements!
Started a run as Wales to get the achievement way back in day but left the save and forgot some days later, only restarted months later and went on a normal Wales run colonizing the Americas, conquering the british isles and France and out of nowhere got the achievement in the very late 1700s
Pretty surprised
I love surprise achievements
Great campaign, it is always nice to see something unique with the RNG :)
You actually pronounced Rhufain pretty well
Thanks!
Wow first two minutes and the brexit already hit Britain
F
@@ZlewikkTVbtw congratulations to win PB
Thanks, I'm pretty disappointed on myself
I just did this achievement last week, great fun, great vid!
Thanks!
I’ve been waiting for a Cymru game for soo long!!!
Was just listening without watching at first, and had to rewind and watch when I heard you releasing "meth"!!
You gotta love that RNG, Burgandy and Austria, C'mon!
Both not really needed for the run, gotta pray for RNG when it's actually useful :>
@@mikegentile6879 surprised Zlewikk could contest Austria in the first place not gonna lie, felt out of nowhere
Do my eyes deceive me? Did zlewikk just ACCEPT a royal marriage offer from Burgandy?!
you can now accept a royal marriage from burgundy and still get the inheritance
They fixed that in the latest patch. You're still eligible for the inheritance whoever offers it now.
Oh really?? 😂😂 thats wild i never thought id see the day…
Good fun ❤
In French the letter Ç is a soft C, so a C that sounds like an S.
Therefore, Alençon is pronounced Alenson
King Arthur conquering Rome be like:
Cymru am byth 🐉
I tried doing something similar with the Mann achievement but wasn’t able to get too far, maybe with the money thing in the beginning it might be better
1:52 Start as Meath and control New Mexico and Bohemia before September 7 1552
You should read Welsh 'w' like Polish 'u' :d
Cymru Am Byth!!!!
Did anyone else turn off Zlewikk's voice, turn on the captions, and imagine it all in Nigel Owens' voice?
accepted royal marriage from burgundy, causing my heart pain, and *still* gets them as a PU.
This was changed my friend :)
11:00 dont you need to take general to your second army?
Nice
Nice
@@ZlewikkTV I feel blessed 🤩😃
At moment I have 49% of achievments, but already got 100% last year and then reset it :D Have you reset your one before start hunting? :)
Little surprise for them. Same line i use on my wife
Hello @ZlewikkTV,
It's more Alen[s]on than Alen[k]on for the prononciation because there is a "ç" and not a " c" ;).
Yes french language is hard to master haha.
But thx a lot for those videos ! It's help me to do my own achievments ^^'.
(sry for my english ;D)
you might have started as Lippe , then released yourself as Waled to gain both? but it would be quite annoying
I'd just do both separately :)
I cheesed the f out of this achievement, i played an Austria run, by the time i revoked privilegia i released Wales as a vassal, then handed them the needed provinces, then annexed them, then released and played as them to get the achievement, i then also birded to do the same with the Great Moravia achievement.
What a waste of lots of fun imo :< but definitely good if you just wsnt it asap!
@@ZlewikkTVi found the achievement not very inspiring personally, i wanna roleplay hard as Wales.
understandable!
Funny how YT thinks the game is under the category of the dlc
What is that event in 19:27 XDDDDD
Standard pretender rebel event when your heir has low claim
@@ZlewikkTV Ah ok, you named your heir gareth bale. I see you zlewik
yep, it was highlighted earlier in the video :p
The PU over Burgundy was already great luck....but inheriting it too?
Still irrelevant for the campaign :v
inheriting Burgundy is a scripted event if you get the Burgundian succession event.
Alenko enjoer 😅😅😅
Stop whining in the comments, this is an achievement challenge not hardest start we all know Zlewik can do it either way this is just less rng and waiting
Yes but its more Fun if it's more hard like fezzan
It's more Fun and difficulty if you dont Ruin the overlord if you start as a subject
Yes, so I decided to ruin them, but not as much as I could.
So it was still a challenge as you could see, but also a pleasant campaign to get the achievement without ruining yourself
please record the subscribe bit in dark mode yt so we dont get flashbanged every time
First to like
You can win without ruining england, kind of lame to be honest.
You can also ruin them muuuuch more, but I chose the middle way :)
Are you playing on very hard difficulty with no loans/allies or what's going on, because i can't really understand why would a player of your caliber resort to that level of nation-ruining? Not fun to watch and leaves a very bad aftertaste of sloppy and lazy content
Destroying England before releasing Wales, yawn boring
