    Good to know. When i get my setup next summer, am buying an extra manifold and i will also ask for a 1/4 little line for the drain instead of the one supplied coz its WAY too small and weak.

    There was a bad batch of manifolds that went out from airlift. It’s not big deal! If you have a warranty you’ll be good in not time. I got lifetime warranty on my 3p never had a problem with mine but in the event I do I just let speedzone in Orlando know nd they replace the part no questions asked

    Airlift states that the manifold should be mounted higher than the supply port from the tank, I wonder if your failure is due to moisture building up inside the manifold as it’s effectively the low point in your system. - Just a thought on how this failure could be prevented.

    good video man. glad I stumbled on it. Im in NJ and bagging my kia hatchback. I ordered the 3p from bagriders, with 1 AIR Zenith compressor and 5 g tank. they forgot the shrader valve (tire air valve) but they shipped it out. now im waiting on my struts from Airtekk. hope they come soon. Ive read that the manifold should be higher than the tank so water can drain down words out of the manifold valves. I always wondered about what happens if something breaks, and now youre out of having a car cause it cant air up. those air tire valves to hook onto the ends of the air lines are genious… im guessing the one on the tank mount u can fill if a compressor breaks and u cant air the tank up... the ones on the valves hoses are good if the valve is broken so u can get air into the bags to raise them... my question is once you do that will the system hold that pressure and does the controller still guage how much air you manually just put into them? I bought a 100 dollar portable air compressor that imma keep in the car that plugs into the lighter for emergencys so I can get air into the system if the actually system fails. just hook it to the air tire valves in the trunk

    • @A1Brian
      @A1Brian  Před 4 lety

      e l The 3P system is not bad. And those air valves did really help. Without the manifold i couldnt air up anything. It should hold. There was no power to the remote when the manifold was out. Would have to just manually air it up. But the portable compressor would defiantly come in handy!

I now drive a Mercedes cl55 amg that I also just bagged. In the beginning I had nothing but problems after problems. But after everything got sorted out. Great video. You recommend going with the 3/8” lines as opposed to the 1/4”? Going back and forth and trying to find out if there’s much of a difference and if the 3/8” is too fast or 1/4” too slow. Looking at this system for 2016 Jetta. Thanks!

    • @A1Brian
      @A1Brian  Před 3 lety +2

      Thanks! Yea i would say it depends what you are looking for. 3/8 fills up the tank faster and airs out quicker. 1/4 does the opposite. It also depends how many compressors you get. To me, 1/4 was too slow. You could also look up some videos to see the difference between the 2. I air out and air up in my most recent video and i have 3/8.

Airing out is NOTHING LIKE airing up. Why? I have. 2012 dodge challenger with 3/8 air lines with universal air bags on my stock struts. Is there I can adjust or open the vent/exhaust? Had same problem. You got water in the manifold. It’s safe to drive . Just contact airlift and send them $250 and they’ll send another one so you can still keep your old one. Once you get the new one just send them your old one for refund. Also, that trunk setup could be a lot better. I had airlift on my 540i and all you can see is the 8 gallon tank. You can hide everything else so it’s a cleaner setup.

      @@A1Brian Correct, if you send them yours first, you pay for the shipping, they will send you another one free. However if you can't take your manifold out because you need the car to get to and from work etc. then you can pay the $250 and they will send you one and when you return the old one they will refund you your security deposit.
