Incredible coach and a great combination with TP
It would be great if Tommy Paul were the one to break that American Grand Slam mens 20 year plus drought he has the best combination of power, versatility and speed more athletic than Fritz more tougher than Korda.
Brad Stine was with Jim Courier during his great championship years so I think he'll be ready if the chance presents itself.
Some great coaches are so eager to spill and be in the spotlight that they unknowingly share their player's secrets. He shared a bit too much considering that Tommy is still developing some of the things they are working on. He has to learn to control himself to avoid oversharing and self-promotion. Let Tommy's results speak for them as he's doing great.
And what do you think he overshared here? Every player knows TP struggled with focus. Pretty sure he mentioned it himself in Breaking Point as well. Go watch the UTS All on the Table with Ruud/DeMinaur/Thiem, even Ruud jokes about being surprised TP could maintain focus over time. Tommy has numerous times in interviews said his coach wants him more at the net. So yeah, don't really see any oversharing here. Just nice to actually hear some more details than the standard "we worked on his serve and groundstrokes and now he is top 100" answer.
