Smooth operation and the quality of fish is superb for gill net fish. I love the setup on the boat. Very efficient. ALl I fished cod with was trawl hook and line. Very hard work for little return.

Hell yeah. I love the auto coiler for the hooks. Ingenious. I am literally going to copy it or find out who made it and buy a set for myself. Can you help me with that? I am a 4th generation salmon troller from Sitka Alaska and would like to pioneer using this to catch rockfish here. I have used the DNG product before and know the distributor in Seattle Washington. His name is Bibbi and he runs Gunnar Electronics. Any help would be way cool. If your ever in Sitka look me up and I’ll show you the “dinglebar” set up we use to troll for lingcod. The old boy who taught me claimed his dad used similar gear back in Norway to troll for cod. Good fishing and God bless-Ben

The amount and size of the cod the Norwegian fish is decided by the E.U because Norway is part of the European Economic Area and it is one of the Schengen states.
Portugal always was the Norwegian main market because cod is the Portuguese national dish and does not live in Portuguese waters.
Your cod and chips should really be called Pollock and chips because that's what it is.

In whats called "open group" which means free for everyone that has a boat that qualifies and they are qualified/registered fishermen
These are the quotas from 2016 that i could find for COD:
Boat under 7m have a garanteed quota of 22 tons and a max of 33tons
      7-8m boat min 26 tons - max 39
      8-9m. Boat min 31 tons - 46 tons
      9-10m boat min 38 max 57 tons
      10 - 11 min 62 tons
And so on and so on
But theres another group of vessels simply called "closed group" and those vessels are the ones that buy quotas which are large investments

SEEN IT EVERYWHERE WE FISH IN AMERICA & ENGLAND, EVERYWHERE. SINK THE PIRATES, THEN, EVERYONE AND EVERYTHING RECOVERS, UNLESS YOU DESTROYED GROUNDS AND/OR BROOD STOCK.

@@1onetry149 Incorrect, its not legal to fish for Cod in Norway atm, too much over-fishing.
Cod is now an endangered species... The only way to legally fish a cod to eat now, is if you accidentally gut-hook one or something, where the cod wont survive being released back into the sea anyway... Then you are obligated to eat it.
My facts come directly from the goddamn hunting and fishing authority in Norway...
I went to buy a fishing rod, the people employed there warned me that it's illegal to fish cod now.
I also have an app made by the fishing and hunting authority, where it also says it's not allowed to fish Cod now.
I would assume that means fishing cod isn't currently allowed. :P
