Your whole aura is refreshing. You look and sound like someone who is taking care of herself and in a good mental space. It is a beautiful thing to see. I hope things continue going well for you!
I really enjoy watching different people's journey into the vanlife/cargotrailerlife community. Just when I think I've seen all the possible variations on features and design, someone surprises me. Alway inspirational, though. Although we're not full-timers, I was inspired to add off-grid features to our trailer used for teaching scuba diving, and it's been a great learning experience and fun to actually use. I look forward to see your progress! Please share your thought process as you make different feature and design choices during your build! The "why" is often as interesting and helpful as the "how".
Great choice. I look forward to seeing the progress on the new van. I have no doubt you will do an excellent job of making this happen just as you want. Best of luck.
Take your time, do things how you want to do it and when you want to. There are simple and patient folk like me who love and appreciate your content and keep coming back to watch what you’ve been up to with you. So keep it going and we’ll be here, I promise. Love from France 🇫🇷. 😊
I appreciate your step dads care for you in being safe and teaching you the why and how. It reminds me of me and my grandfather who pass this year. Seeing this warmed my heart 💕congratulations! And I laughed because I didn’t know you meant clowns 🤡 literally 😂
I'm a step dad and the fact that your is helping you with your project is very cute. I love my step kids like they are mine and could totally see building a project like this with one of them.
Congrats on the purchase of your van … love your practical approach to the building and conversion right down to the rustproofing … you are not afraid to follow your dream … keep up the good work 👍 and thank you for sharing
Your stepdad seems great!! And will be a great source of information and teaching! Beautiful porch (lanai) and love the plants. Consider looking at a paint sprayer, not overly expensive to buy a basic homeowner version, and could probably rent one as well. That would speed up the interior paint and save your fingers from the spray cans!!😜 Looking forward to your build!!
You may wish to Install as a added Safety option to add outdoor or exterior lighting, and cameras for the exterior view around the perimeters around your vehicle. You can have a monitor installed inside, and you can view your vehicle and campsite surroundings on the monitor or possibly on your phone. Wishing you Well for your van build, glad you were wearing your Safety glasses, gloves are great also. God's Blessings to you and your family.
Congrats! My choice for my next build would be a Promaster 2500 as well. (I built a Promaster City, it’s great!) Good idea of using two fans. One suggestion: pay particular attention to insulation and ventilation. Whether hot environment or cold, good insulation is key. Have fun!
Yes, as this person says, and just one more thing if I may. Have contingency plans for things like plumbing leaks, like waterproofing flooring or cabinetry if using wood anywhere. Recently, another van had to tear out everything due to a water leak rotting things.
I'm excited for you. I'm kinda living vicariously through you...haha. I have been thinking about doing the same for some time now as conventional living seems to be a bit boring and complacent. I appreciate your confidence and independence, as stepping out of our "comfort zone" can be challenging and scary, but so rewarding from an individual perspective. These are the things that help us discover what we are capable of even if our conscious minds say "what if I can't" Kudos to you. As you mentioned, take your time as YOU control the outcome. The journey is 1/2 the reward. And once you get it dialed in, the real reward is that personal fulfillment of what YOU created. Do your thing girl!
Hi Elisa! I'm excited to see you build out your van! I follow another couple who built out a RAM Promaster and it turned out great! Check out there van buildout series. It was great and very informational. There channel is called Jimmy and Natalie. Good luck on your build!
Hi Elisa viewing your channel for first time , saw the van build . Congrads on taking this on . There will be days when you question your sanity but keep at it , you can do it and sense of accomplishment will far exceed the stress . Currently on my fifth RV . Rebuild upgrade everything myself , so learned what not to do . Mistakes are part of the learning curve , it happens to all of us . Like your thoughts of no AC , two fans are smart . Put them as far apart as possible so one on reverse other on forward will pull max amount of air through . Spend as much as you can afford on the best insulation possible . Be certain to cover every sq inch , nooks , crannies . Spray foam in a can gets in the hard to reach spots . Doing this helps to eliminate condensation as well . Don`t waste time and money on installing solar panels etc . Far better to spend money on lithium batteries and a charging system that enables your alternator to charge them while you are driving . It feels good to know the fuel you must buy is also charging your lithiums . You have a great adventure ahead . Best of luck -- Robert
You should wear face mask while doing paint job, metal/primer/paint particles might be harmful if inhaled. It would be fun following you on this journey. Keep it up👍.
My heart has joy for you. This van will become part of you and your story. It will be part of mine as well. Watching you bring your ideas to fruition. Semper Fi
Agreed....my girlfriend is also 100% free of them....sooooo many people are going to have blurry paint jobs when they are older...that will look like bruises basically LOL

Always so curious why men feel the need to comment on women's bodies when it's irrelevant and unsolicited. For the record, it's not appropriate.
