FG) and six rebounds for the Mavericks, his second consecutive game with 25 or more points, while Kyrie Irving (22 points, seven assists) and Luka Doncic (22 points, 15 rebounds, five assists) added a combined 44 points in the victory. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander tallied 31 points, 10 rebounds, six assists and a Playoff career-high five blocks for the Thunder in the losing effort. Giddey is out of the lineup because 1) he can’t make the open three, 2) he can’t finish at the rim. He’s so bad at both that other teams were literally game planning around it and begging him to shoot it every time he was on the floor. 3) His passing skills only work with the ball in his hands which railroads the rest of the players’ effectiveness. 4) Add to that Dort is known around the league as an elite defender and Giddey can’t defend a broomstick. He’s too unathletic to keep up with small & fast guards and he’s too weak to deal with bigger bodies.
If you look at the statistics, he’s a career net negative and it totally makes sense to put him to the side with the rest of OKC’s pieces until he improves his game considerably.

He creates his own shots with an array of floaters and runners and drives to the basket, let’s take the ball out of his hands and never pass to him. 3 his court vision and passing is elite if he runs the offence he gets everyone involved and the team is easily 20ppg better off. But no let’s bench him after 8 minutes and let lil nas X run no stop Kobe level iso for himself so he can get 30 and become an all star. 4 defence?? Are you serious ?? Who gives a crap about defence .. it’s the nba. There is maybe a few people in the whole league who play defence and they finished 1,2,3, in blocks this year the rest are just frontin , and guarding the guys who drop 50 for fun cause no one else wants to. But let’s mismatch a 20yo guard with forwards in the low post make him rebound for tooth pick Chet and pick on his mistakes. And let’s try destroy a quality player’s confidence by making him useless to the team and only start him because the coach hasn’t got the balls to properly take such a high draft pick out of the rotation
