- In Mark 13, Jesus addresses His disciples in what is known as the Olivet Discourse. He warns them about spiritual warfare, false prophets, and the coming tribulation for the nation of Israel. As we study this teaching from Jesus, we are reminded as believers to be alert and to get busy telling the good news of Jesus Christ.
This teaching is from our series Matthew - 2011 with Skip Heitzig from Calvary Church.

As Christians we should always be watching for Jesus to come and rapture his Church. I do feel the events happening in our world today mirror the end times spoke of in the Bible. This was an excellent and very detailed Bible Study! Thank you.
heh wow... I've had so much fun these past 4 and a half hours of my night listening to Skip preach on this wonderful chapter. I have been truly blessed on this day, and even now, 3:40AM, I am awake and alive, my eyes only held open and awake through the sheer joy of awe of Our God! So much insight
I join everyone else on the planet not knowing when the end-time will happen. Yes, we can look for signs, there will be a continual prophecy that the end time is coming. This should have nothing to do with anything other than the fact we know it is coming. The task for us in the meantime is to prepare so when it comes we are prepared.
And to bring as many people with us as possible by sharing the gospel with a list and dying world.
We are prepared already. What more can you do.

If a temple stone made a huge dent in the earth, why do I hear that Israel doesn’t know where the temple sat?
I go to Skip when I want to learn about biblical events, timelines, and cultural backgrounds, and insights into biblical people just like me. Who teaches fathers how to be leaders in the home and disciple their children daily to become strong believers? How do you do that?
Ethics is wrong
In mark 13 chapter 24-25, this is pure nonsense! If Jesus was a God which I don’t even think so. Doesn’t a God know all? Stars do not fall, shouldn’t a God know this. A man with no knowledge can write this nonsense. Stars might explode, I saw a star eat a planet. Who wrote this thought that the sun, moon, stars were lights in the sky. So if Jesus was a common man, he couldn’t have dye for your sins.Period. This same message happened in Matthew, and Revelation.
Jesus did not know the future rapture event because Jesus was separate from his Father (God) at this particular moment in time. Since Jesus is now together with this father in heaven he knows this information now. God did not reveal this information to Jesus when he was on earth.
Is Jesus was not God than how did he know he was going to rise from the dead in three days?
@@danieljohansen8069 you really think he did? Reading about something doesn’t make it the truth! If you are not a Jew he didn’t die for you. He said in Matthew when he was calling Canaanite woman a dog that he came ONLY FOR THE LOST SHEEP OF ISRAEL. If you want to read a better Bible, Greek Codex Siniaticus, the latter Bibles are corrupt.
