Sometimes i wondered how Dante carried like a dozen weapons on him, then i remembered that beside his guns and Rebellion, the demonic arms are the souls of greater demons Dante defeated and have submitted to him. So maybe when not deployed they just revert back to their formless state then materialize when Dante uses them (like how his sword Dante can be manifested out of nowhere as it's a part of him)... Or maybe im just bullshitting because game mechanic decided that Dante can just shove them all up his ass

Dante and Vergil fight eachother because of their differences and Dante still cares for Vergil but Vergil doesnt know that or even care. Vergil only wants more power to surpass Spardas power
correction the mirage edge is his most powerful weapon due to it being his soul. and since his soul is 11d to 15d it can destroy multiple infinite lower dimensions much stronger than the yamato ( i think)
Technically the Yamato isn't the most powerful weapon vergil as ever wielded it's actually the mirage edge which is the manifestation of his soul and apparently the human soul of dante and vergil is 9th dimensional in devil may cry and considering the fact that the yamato was made by sparda involve dante and vergil have surpassed their father in terms of power it would technically mean that any weapon made by dante and vergil are more powerful than the weapons their father made.
I can't really understand the plot of devil may cry Why is vergil and dante fighting? Who's the good or bad guy? And i can quite think the reason dante's fighting style is of a playfull manner is for his coping mechanism but i need more explanation pls?
Neither of them are really Evil, But vergil's power-hungry because of Past trauma and it sometimes Means he's willing to Take it himself by force (He even ripped Nero's devil arm off to get Mirage edge, but Nero grew it back later.) Dante's Trying to Prevent that. They don't hate each other But they're Rivals. And the only way to get Vergil To stop doing what he's doing is to Kill him. And no it's not a coping thing, Dante Fights like that because he's Just a Goofball with a Good sense of humor. He's always fought like that and Taunted his opponents. He likes to crack jokes and "get under the skin of" his enemy. He's just a really playful guy that likes to fool around and have fun, While vergil's A lot more serious and Focused (but not devoid of humor too.) Also, One of vergil's Key means of power, And the one line everyone likes to meme about is: *MOTIVATION.*
