Someone like Kindiki should not be brought back. Here are the reasons. Kindiki was the head of the police service, the police has been accused of killing hundreds of innocent protesters! There needs to be a proper investigation into these killings. If he’s the attorney general then already there would be problems with the integrity of the investigations. Let’s remember that there are police officers and their commanders who need to be investigated therefore you can’t have Kindiki as the attorney general responsible for making key decisions that could implicate people who worked under him. You can’t have someone who’s accused of crimes holding the position of the highest law officer on the land. Appointing Kindiki as the attorney general would be seen as Ruto helping those law enforcement officials implicated in the killings of innocent protesters to escape accountability. That’s unacceptable. So “NO” to Kindiki!
