The sounds in the background were a airline steward or stewardess giving safety directions before a flight takes off: about safety & evacuation in case they land on one of the Great Lakes or an ocean! - "up all night on another red eye". I am a 100% believer in Billie Eilish and when you said "I honestly don't know if I hate the song or adore it", I was a little afraid that if you leaned toward hate it might be only the 2nd time I've seen you (or Debbie) give a 2! I think that "change" is not the only issue, but also vulnerability - love makes us vulnerable, and commitment (and the fear of those) may be other things giving Billie angst. I love the song - sometimes the lyrics, as much as I like Billie and Finneas, sometimes they aren't crystal clear to me. I was pretty amazed that she got 5 Debbies, but the song is engaging. P.S. If you have time, for yourself, your might want to watch them sing this at the Greek Theatre August 12, 2019 (awesome) There's one where Billie breaks down crying during the song, after a friend's death - I don't believe this is the one. I'm not sure but I think Xanny is another one which you haven't heard yet - off her Grammy winning album "When We All Fall Asleep Where Do We Go". There's also "When I was Older" based on the film Roma, but not part of the movies score or music.
Love is a scary thing… I think that’s what it boils down to. Especially for a young lady. A teenager. Love is good sometimes..and you can also be hurt by love if it doesn’t work out. You want to fall in love..but also don’t want to get hurt. The thought of giving yourself to someone completely..is scary. And you hope for the best.
That part with the voice that confused you was a flight attendant giving the safety instructions (evacuation slide) following the lyric “red eye” which has to do with a late flight. You can hear the plane take off after
