  • Nissan quoted us $9,000 to replace the entire transmission! But why? Today we replaced just the Control Valce TCM and it solved the issue. Our issue was hard jerking of the transmission at low rpm's. Make sure to watch the entire video to see how we were able to do this.

    Thanks for this video and information. My only request would have been to include video in the beginning of the issue. To demonstrate the problem.
    Over all a very good video.
    Thanks for the content.

    This video has good information which is hard to find on this trans. I am planning on doing a partial fluid change soon as my truck gets to 50,000 hope that will keep it from having problems later.😛

    I'm surprised you have this made in America truck out in polska, do you have good support from any mechanics besides the dealer? Last time I was there I didn't see many Japanese brands outside of Warsaw 🤷

      Not too many mechanics know things about the titan, which is really disappointing

      Honestly, we have never experienced that with our titan, so I wouldn't be able to tell you.

    I shared this on a Facebook group Nissan Titan(2016-2024) hopefully it helps owners out. I really wanted to purchase a 22 or 23 Titan but now I’m not sure.
    Do you think all 2020 -2024 will have this problem Eventually?Maybe this is why they stopped the production of the Titan and have a great warranty.

    • @contractorhomes
      @contractorhomes  Před 3 měsíci

      The most reports of this issue were on the 2020-21 titan maybe they fixed this issue. I think the titan just doesn't interest people too much which is why they are discontinuing it. And if they have a good warranty, they usually means they are confident in their products so I dont think this problem is why they have a good warranty

      I have noticed a similar problem with our titan. Is it constant jerking or just a one time jump? I would definitely take it to the dealer and take advantage of that nice warranty

      Above is the link to the tool kit for draining and filling. If you have trouble accessing the link, it's on Amazon. Type 9 speed automatic transmission drain tools for mercedes. Mercedes-Nissan are connected and have the same transmission, so tools are compatible with each other. You can make a fill device on your own like we did. Simply buy a pump like in the video, and from home depot, buy a clear tube and valve to open and close to control the flow of the new oil. Use a lighter heat up the tube to make it slide into the valve and pump easier.

    • @timchiriac7194
      @timchiriac7194 Před 4 měsíci +1

      @Mach141 you don't have to buy nissan fluid you can buy atf, you or I didn't build nissan jatco transmissions the manufacturer built them, from what I understood nissan saids to change at 30k miles if you are abusing the transmission towing dusty conditions stop and go city driving 50k max for highway driving not a lot of stop and go, in my recent cars I've always changed ny transmission fluid at 30k miles and never had issues take that as you will.
