Hello Priya-- I wanted to share that due to your video I saw a NUCAA chiropractor and it has been a HUGE gamechanger for me in terms of managing my TMD. I used to get botox (which is great, helps a lot, but its expensive) and the NUCAA seems like a more sustainable solution. I see a TMJ dentist, but they know half of what I see on your channel. Thank you for educating us and making my headaches so much better!

Hi everyone! I went to my first appointment today with an AO chiropractor and it was amazing! I went to Dr. Baird's today in Markham, Ontario, he was so great! I had the special x-rays done and he said that I have Eagle's syndrome, a congenital thing. Not a problem unless something is going wrong with your cervical spine, in which case Eagle's amplifies the symptoms. He is pretty confident that it won't be a problem once my C1 C2 are corrected. I've also got a rotated C2 and ipsilateral pattern issues, meaning on the same side, which presents as worse symptoms often than bilateral. I had my first adjustment with the special Atlas Orthogonal machine, lots of math and biophysics involved which was super cool! I also got a special pillow from him to try. Excited to see how it all goes! I'd love to hear if anyone else has tried this. Thanks

Wow! This is really interesting! Thank you for sharing! I suffered a subluxation in my neck, as a result of a fluke type of whiplash that happened, when a virus (GBS )caused my nervous system to shut down, and I collapsed like an accordion in the middle of the street. Since then the headaches the pressure in the back of my head and neck have been pretty constant, misalignments on both sides of my neck into my shoulders and a nodule building up on my right shoulder are all very evident. Certain points in my trapezoid area can be pressed in I find myself breathing better. ( That has been made worse by chronic fatigue, post COVID issues, that I'm being treated for) I have difficulty swallowing, no saliva and I do hear weird noises coming from my mouth and throat. So yeah I'm helping my medical community piece things together that are outside their mode of thinking. And it's a shame that insurance companies don't promote prevention, like keeping your mouth healthy, so your digestion goes well, and your brain gets nourished well 🤔
I like the idea of the subtle actions as part of the treatment.

I will always remember the experience after running a 20k race in March 1982. I had Sciatica. A sharp pain in my hip.
I went to my doctor and he wanted to do surgery on my hip. I told I would check around. I found out about Nucca. I went to my doctor to see if I could get a recommendation from my doctor to use Nucca and get use my insurance. The doctor told me that Nucca Chiropractors were evil. I went to the Nucca Chiropractor and got adjusted. Three weeks later I could jog. Six weeks later I was running. In September I went to Eugene Oregon to run a marathon and took 30 minutes off my pr for the marathon!

@@theTMJdoc NUCCA doc here, I figured I would respond. MRI, although a great imaging modality, tends to be slower and much more costly than x-ray or even a CT. Additionally, although soft tissue isn't as visible on an xray, what is being measured is abnormal structure, ie. you can tell that a soft tissue has been injured, or a functional problem is present if a vertebrae has shifted beyond its normal anatomical position because it is not possible for a vertebra to shift that far without damaging the ligaments. To answer your question though, some NUCCA doctors are moving towards Cone Beam CT or MRI if time and money allow, but currently for practical reasons, digital Xray is still the gold standard.

When the world figures out that the root cause of TMJ is an atlas misalignment you will have no job LOL.

I disagree that that’s always the root cause and often the treatment is multidisciplinary. But either way, thanks for your comment! ☺️

@@tapsubscribe Yes, your atlas is like the control center, if it's off, its very likely your hips aren't even, which will cause your shoulders to be imbalanced. Many things can happen depending on your posture and muscle imbalances. Alll of this creates chronic pain in our bodies.

I can't believe how incredibly closed minded you are. Just because you went to medical school (I'm assuming that's the MD in your username?), it certainly doesn't mean you know everything. Treat a few thousand patients whose jaws are locked closed and then come back and talk to me. And I write my own content, so don't make assumptions.
