It was early 1991 and a page changer in my life. I was locked up for a charge of conspiracy to possess lsd and in the local jail all one could sensibly do to pass the time was sleep or read. I wasn't a fan of literature since my younger days in my youth but found a copy of pillars of the earth circulated amongst other random books donated and fell in love with the story. Years later by seeming chance I became a Mason and chiseled out a name for myself as an artisan brick, stone,and other forms of the art. Thanks brother Ken.
Can't wait for the novel to come out. Got mine on pre order. Best novel of the year.

Im reading this now. Just over half way. Its fantastic so far. Ive just put it down at 1.30am and found myself looking it up on here. Lol 🤣🤩

I attended a Ken Follett book signing a few years ago. Nice guy.
For me personally, this narrating, especially in terms of rhythm and cadence, sounds better than John Lee's....
