I'm the opposite. Elaine is my absolute favorite. I love whenever they pan the camera on her and she gives this awkward but genuine smile as if she's almost shy to have the camera on her. But, the last interview I saw with Shelly Anne definitely put her in a lovable light.

This is how you "lose" with class. Hard to call a bronze at the world championships losing, but I'm sure she hoped for better. Yet, she handled these interviews with class and humility.

Elaine is such a classy and humble athlete. She is still dealing with shoulder and achilles issues so I would not say she's 100% coming into these World Championships. Only Elaine and Flo-Jo have hit 40km an hour at top end speed in the 100m. I have nothing against Shelly-Ann and I'm happy for her but if Elaine was 100% healthy no one would touch her. Those are just the facts....

No hate but Elaine is actually the only athlete to hit a top end speed of 40 kmh in her 10.54 run whereas Flo-Jo hit a top end speed of around 39.3 kmh which is also slower than the 39.7 kmh speed Elaine hit in her 10.61 run

There's a life off the tracks for each athlete, one we're not privy to knowing the details! Looking at Elaine's performances leading up to this Championships one could see that there was a struggle from the start of her races, transitioning to top end speed and maintaining that speed to the line! Her start was not technically sound and to make up gaps against elite athletes like Shellyann and Jackson was always going to be near impossible while nursing injuries! It's no easy task performing at peak level for professional athletes..I applaud her resilience, humility and gracious acceptance of not being in the top spot in every race..Congrats to all the women!

This is true humility in its finest form. This is why these ladies will always WIN life’s biggest races, not just Olympics or World Championships, but always win in life. Is because in the midst of adversity, she’s still showing up and still delivering, win or lose, she’s going to remain poise, humble and gracious. She have always expressed gratitude, and so does Shelly and Shericka.
These women doesn’t act entitled even with 5 titles under her belt, Shelly still remain hungry, but very humbled. Others need to take lesson here, always be humble, and express gratitude. It’s because she got rid of Nike for treating her less than the no medal newcomer with a bunch of clout for losing. She now with Puma because they treat real winner much better.

Great interview Elaine. Those who understand the sports could see that you were nowhere near your best and had it been you would have gotten the gold without a doubt. Congrats to shelly and Jackson. But you are the greatest woman sprinter of all times, no matter what anyone want to say. Until shelly or Jackson beaten your 200m and 100m times then I will rethink my decision.
