A little extra information regarding chixao effect, when your moye or taia gets negated and you have longyuan + wyrm or other swordsoul card
You can special summon longyuan + token, make chixiao using taia or moye, use chixiao effect to banish blackout (since his effect lets you either banish or add the card from the deck) use blackout effect to summon another token and make barrone or evil longyuan using the token + longyuan on the field.
That makes sense, but now you lost blackout destruction? or is valuing a level 10 and 8 better? (I'm a noob)
@@fuad2555 it all depends on the meta, for example when tearlament is the best deck, you probably want to have chixiao + evil long yuan since if you use blackout it will only benefit the tear player, but in other meta (like during kash or labyrinth meta) you probably want to prioritizing black out over the syhncro 10, but for me personally i prefer having an omni negate like barrone in bo1 format.

I enjoy these kinds of videos. They are broken down very well. I can follow your thought almost like a school lesson. Sometimes people on CZcams go off on a tangent which makes it difficult to learn the concept.
Its the style I'm trying to go for. We have a lot of talented players on CZcams, but a lot of them either overload players with information or provide too little. These guides aren't perfect, I need to cut corners and not mention some effects for the sake of making the learning process easier, but I hope I can provide a stepping stone for new players!^^

Swordsoul is also great for the dailies, like you can do all 9 dailies once every 3 days and get it all done in 5 minutes xD, they do a bit of everything.

just made a sword soul deck and although it isnt as strong as tears its still one of the most fun decks out there with this video it helped alot to combo
I also love that you are done after 5 summons instead of having to sit through 15 effects in a turn. Makes grinding a lot more fun.

I watch a lot of CZcams and I always find the hard part of picking up a new deck, understanding:
if I like it,
the win condition
the basics of what it wants to do,
I discovered golden nova couple years back he makes videos that give an archetype analysis that gets some of the job done.
I also thought about starting my own yt channel with video just like this one
The cards/ the basics effects and how they relate, and explaining briefly the actual list and “combos”, or just what u usually want to do/ summon

I'll do more for sure! =] I think the "golden ratio" to make these videos sustainable in ad revenue without having to rely on people donating to Patreon and such is to be able to reach around 50k views per video on average within a year or so. Yugioh is a big market, and I have had a lot of success with Sky Striker last year, over 100k views. So I will keep looking into ways to cover popular decks to be able to do just that.
@@KuganeGaming i was just watching the other videos of that series, ''beginner guide '' ( i'll call it that ) thankfully most of the decks are similar between tcg and duel master. I'm a ''compettitive '' player, or at least that's the type of content i watch( even tho i'm not that good), just maybe consider that the type of viewers may vary between strictly master duel decks and tcg decks. in my case i'm not interested in master duel only decks. great job again and ciao from italy

I think this deck is 1 card away from becoming S tier in both Master Duel and the TCG. Maybe not as much so now that Tearlaments is around, but still, solid deck.

Other than the Baronne misinformation, this is a good breakdown. You always risk it for that extra draw biscuit off Qixing Longyuan. Not to mention it often has better applicantion in applying pressure since everyone forgets its effects.
Even in Master Duel? :) I have kind of found myself going into Baronne more often than not because of the Best of One nature of everything.

Pretty good tutorial. Would have been worthwhile to show a sample deck profile for people to try out to get a hang of the deck.
My aim is for evergreen content =], with decks shifting all the time I am planning to do deck profiles as seperate videos once I have covered all the top decks.
Dope video! Just a few nit-picky things I want to mention for posterity:
CHI XIAO can banish a wyrm from HAND as well as gy to negate.
It can also banish a swordsoul from deck instead of adding to hand. So if moye gets impermed etc. you can longyuan eff>make chixao>banish blackout and create another token to make a synchro 10.
ASHUNA not only locks you from ss’ing non-wyrm ED monsters, but just ss’ing non-wyrm in general. So you wouldnt be able to ss ecclesia or bystials after. If its eff is negated by ash etc however you are still free to ss non-wyrms.
DRACO BERSERKER has to destroy an EFFECT monster AND send it to gy to get its atk boost and second atk. So if they are banished or sent to ED (Pendulums) you could miss lethal.
QIXING only lets you draw if a WYRM is synchro summoned.
BAXIA lets you spin cards up to the number of diff attributes of WYRM monsters used for its synchro. So ecclesia + lvl 4 wyrm only gives you 1 spin for example.
Additional cards to note:
Shthana + Heavenly Dragons Circle. Circle lets you dodge imperm on mo ye etc, then add shthana (lvl 4 wyrm) to hand to continue plays. Also can ve ss’d with ashuna to extend into lvl 8 synchros. Finally there are some battle trick plays you can use shthana for by crashing monk etc.
Chaofeng. If you have an all gas hand, you can use ashuna + lvl 1/7 tenyi to make baxia and then pop another card (monk etc.) to revive adhara and make chaofeng. This will then insulate your plays from effect veiler, or force your opponent to nib before you make chaofeng (otherwise its dead unless they also have imperm).

tbh i dueled so many sword soul players when they were new that i practecly learned the combo by looking at them
Im glad its not as popular now, so the ‘true’ swordsoul fans can have a go at it. I love all the little innovations people come with for the deck to keep it relevant^^

Indeed! XD I had a lot of complaints over the years because of my accent from North American viewers, then recently the neighbours started renovating the house, so recording audio became a nightmare... So decided to fix both issues with the AI voice! xD Now I can spend more time on script writing.

Any reason why after summoning mo ye and synchro summoning another monster, I can't special summon longyuan? (I do have a wyrm/swordsoul in my hand)
I think there might be something on the field preventing it because normally you should be able to. What were the exact cards you played to that point?

Can Berserker of the Tenyi attack 4 monsters in a row if the opponent has 4 or only attack twice? Follow up question, if Berseker of the Tenyi can attack all 4 and destroys all 4, doesit gain attack from all 4 konster destroyed and is this a permanent gain in attack or only until the end of the turn?
The trigger is once per turn unfortunately, but still a great Monster to get rid of two things :).
Can you make a dragon link guide want to build the deck but idk if its good
I haven't had that many requests for Dragon Link, so it may take a while before I cover that archetype I'm afraid. I create content full time, so sometimes I am forced to cover highly requested decks just for the ad revenue (its about 1$/1000 views)
