A WALK IN THE PARK

Hi friends
On Sunday 03/04/2022 I had been to Cubbon park with my friend for a walk. Best place to walk early in the morning. There are so many beautiful plants, Huge old trees, colorful flowers, and lots of people The vast landscape of the park was conceived by Major General Richard Sankey, the then Chief Engineer of the State. As a mark of honor to Sri John Meade, the park was initially named “Meade's Park” and subsequently it was called the Cubbon Park. There is a central library. In 1914, Dewan Sir M Visveswaraya donated the building to the State Public Library, and accordingly, on May 1, 1915, the public library was opened. The library building that we see now was built in 1915, with brick and mortar in a classic European style with Tuscan and Corinthian columns. It began functioning as a public library with 4750 books and 215 members in the year 1915. The Karnataka Government took over the library in 1966 and converted the public library into the State Central Library in 1986, where it was opened to the public only for consultation of the documents within its premises. just next to it is a dog park where you can bring your pet dogs to play and socialize. There was a live painting was going on. All the paintings were beautiful.
