I recently acquired a 1998 Dodge Dakota V6 Sport, and I have a cd player
Nice Dakota gives me motivation to fix mine up gotta say I used to be strictly a Chevy guy but I've had my Dakota for almost 3 years now it is one of the most reliable vehicles I've owned hope you have the same reliability out of yours looks like you will it's a gorgeous truck congrats !
My family is strictly Chevy so I bend the rules haha, but thank you I gotta do some here and there to it but the truck always fires up and takes me where I need to be, hope it stays that way for both of us! Cheers
@@Thatlowdsg those 3.9 engines are great you won't have really any issues with it the one thing I would keep an eye on is this sensor called the transducer in the transmission I had to put one in mine when I got it. If it's bad it won't shift unless you manually shift it not a bad job though
Replacing lh exhaust manifold and gasket on my 2003 Dakota 3.9 as we speak !
My front drive shaft bearing goes out all the time, major flaw. Great trucks, I have 200k on my 2001 have only had to replace the water pump and breaks and that bearing.
Welcome back !
Love my 99 3.9 v6 magnum and I’m going to drive until dies out
Love those. Had that exact one except it was manual
Good truck my t case said other wise. Still love the truck
Was a good video💪🏽
Much appreciated 🤙
I have a 2000 with the 3.9 it's a 2wd standard cab sport and I just replaced all my exhaust manifold bolts I currently have 201.000 miles
Looking for that exact pickup but here in Northeast Texas the truck market price is outright crazy. New subscriber also.
I bought this thing for pretty cheap as a beater, marketplace here can be just as bad, if you’re lookin for one I’d recommend checking the exhaust manifold bolts, the u joints on the drive shaft(s), and the HC+ hvac / how well they work, my heat was spotty but that might not matter for you in the sunshine state. And welcome to the channel, I’ll be posting about the Dakota here soon.
Did you change replaced the bolts Ana what size are they?
It’s been a year, what do you think/ how has it gone with the truck?
Truck ran perfectly fine when I sold it. Sold it a little bit ago cause the rear frame was rotting and I didn't want to mess with it too much. Overall they're good trucks just the rear frames tend to rot out. Would definitely buy another in a better condition!
@@Thatlowdsgoh yeah I hear you. Thanks for the reply and for the vid. There’s not that many videos on this trim
Steering wheel is upside down?
It wasn’t like that when I bought it, I put on a new steering shaft and it was upside down after, i also did tie rods so I adjusted those and the wheels straight now! I need to get it aligned now.
What kind of motor oil do you use on the 3.9l 4x4?
When I had the truck I just put Napa oil in itl lol. Think it was 5w20
@@Thatlowdsg yes reason I’m asking most vehicles say oil type on the cap or somewhere under the hood my truck doesn’t say nothing thank you.
No more videos?
Maybe one day...
