one thing to take into consideration with magnets is if they are exposed to heat that can alter how they perform , also on the flip side if you super cool them with say liquid nitrogen or something they also take on very , very interesting properties.

Some extension ideas to the groundbreaking research conducting in today's video:
    • plastic cable ties would do an excellent job of holding the wheels on the hub. The big, thick ones might be best.
    • install just ONE of the lug bolts? (throw the other 3 away) Those extra lug bolts are just for aesthetics, right?
    • make aluminum lug bolts from melted soda cans. How will those hold up?
    • 3D print some plastic lug bolts. Those should be super wonderful.
    • wooden lug bolts? (Why the hell not?)
    • cut all of the lug bolts halfway through. How long will they hold on the wheels while drifting, etc.?

Project idea. For the brakes on a car, instead of disc or drum brakes use a clutch and pressure plate from a manual transmission for a braking system. Modifying the “clutch” and attaching it to the hub for a break system instead. A lot of hydraulic clutches operate just like brakes. You would have great surface area for stopping power but you might need to use a large wheel for clearance around the clutch? It depends on how big of clutch and pressure plate you want to use. There’s many ways you could do it, one would be to mount the clutch to the hub and the pressure plate to the wheel or vice versa.
